Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Junior Security Engineer, based in Jakarta. The Junior Security Engineer will be responsible for implementing and maintaining security measures to protect applications, networks, and information systems. Day-to-day tasks include conducting security assessments, monitoring systems for vulnerabilities, supporting incident response teams, and assisting in the development of security policies and procedures. The role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure infrastructure and applications adhere to the highest security standards.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Network Security, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems
• Basic understanding of Application Security and hands-on experience in identifying and mitigating application vulnerabilities
• Familiarity with Information Security best practices, compliance standards, and risk management principles
• Understanding and learn JavaScript, API script and understanding Python
• Experience or academic exposure to Cybersecurity and Security Engineering concepts
• Effective problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work as part of a collaborative team
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field
• Relevant certifications such as CEH, CompTIA Security+, or CISSP are advantageous
• Strong communication and documentation skills
