Position Summary:
Drone Engineer is responsible for supporting end-to-end drone operations, including research, data analysis, pilot training, and technical troubleshooting. This role ensures the reliability and performance of drone systems through maintenance, repair, and compliance with operational standards. The position also involves customer engagement through trials, as well as administrative responsibilities such as reporting, auditing, and claims handling.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct research and analyze data to support drone operations and performance improvements.
- Train and provide technical support to drone pilots, including troubleshooting operational issues.
- Conduct product trials, demonstrations, and technical presentations for customers.
- Perform maintenance, inspection, and repair of drones, batteries, and related equipment.
- Monitor compliance with operational SOPs and conduct performance audits.
- Manage operational claims and related administrative processes.
- Prepare technical documentation, reports, and regular operational updates.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Fresh graduates are welcome to apply; up to 1 year of relevant experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with QGroundControl and Mission Planner.
- Experience with DJI drones or custom UAV platforms is an advantage.
- Ability to operate drones; a valid drone pilot certification is preferred.
- Proficient in soldering, electronic troubleshooting, and hardware assembly.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and innovation skills.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and project management abilities.
- Fast learner, adaptable, and willing to work on-site with flexible working hours.
- Good command of spoken and written English
