JUNIOR ARCHITECT / ARCHITECTURAL DRAFTER

KAWI Hotel is looking for a Junior Architect / Architectural Drafter to develop construction drawings based on designs and SketchUp models prepared by the designer.
The role is primarily focused on technical drawing, architectural detailing and construction documentation.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop SketchUp models into architectural construction drawings.
- Produce and revise plans, elevations, sections and architectural details.
- Develop details for doors, windows, floors, walls, ceilings, stairs, bathrooms and other architectural elements.
- Prepare drawing sheets for construction issue.
- Ensure dimensions, levels, materials and details are consistent across drawings.
- Cross-check drawings against the SketchUp model.
- Update drawings based on designer instructions, site conditions and technical coordination.
- Assist with shop drawings and construction details when required.
- Maintain organized drawing files, revisions and project folders.
- Coordinate with the Designer, Project Manager, PRAM, QS, Site Supervisor and consultants when required.
REQUIRED
- S1 Architecture
- AutoCAD ― strong technical drawing skills.
- SketchUp ― able to read and develop existing models.
- Understanding of architectural plans, elevations, sections and detailing.
- Basic understanding of building construction.
- Understanding of dimensions, levels, annotation, scale, lineweights and layers.
- Able to produce drawings that are buildable, not only visually accurate.
- Comfortable with PDF and Google Drive / Google Workspace.
- Own laptop suitable for AutoCAD and SketchUp.

CANDIDATE PROFILE
- Fresh graduates are welcome.
- 0–2 years of relevant experience is welcome.
- Portfolio required, including technical / construction drawings. Renderings alone are not sufficient.
- Detail-oriented and comfortable working with revisions and deadlines.
- Able to work independently after receiving a clear brief.
- Able to identify and communicate unclear or potentially unbuildable design information.
- Willing to learn KAWI's drawing standards and workflow.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Someone who can take a SketchUp model and translate it into clear, accurate and buildable construction drawings.
RECRUITMENT PROCESS
CV & Portfolio Review → Interview → Practical Drawing Test → Final Evaluation
The practical test will use a sample SketchUp file and require the candidate to develop part of the model into construction drawings.
