The Junior Accountant will assist in managing the financial records and processes. This role involves performing basic accounting tasks, supporting financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with financial policies. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing and maintaining accurate financial records, including general ledger entries and account reconciliations.
- Process invoices, payments, and expense reimbursements for villa operations.
- Support monthly account closings and prepare basic financial statements (e.g., balance sheets, income statements).
- Monitor and record daily transactions, including guest payments and vendor expenses.
- Assist in preparing budgets and tracking expenditures for villa-related activities.
- Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and assist with tax filings under senior accountant guidance.
- Maintain organized documentation for audits and financial reviews.
- Collaborate with the operations team to track villa-related costs (e.g., maintenance, utilities, staff payments).
- Use accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) to manage financial data.
- Provide administrative support for financial processes as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or similar).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills in English (knowledge of Indonesian is a plus).
- Familiarity with Balis hospitality or tourism industry is an advantage.
