Role Description
This is a full-time role for a Japanese Interpreter. The interpreter will be responsible for day-to-day tasks such as interpreting and translating documents and conversations related to finance and the economy. This is an on-site role located in Central Jakarta.
Job Description
- The role involves interpreting and translating from Japanese to Indonesian/English, and vice versa, during meetings, presentations, and negotiations.
- The Interpreter will also be responsible for translating documents, emails, and reports.
- Assistant to Japanese Manager in day-to-day activities interpret meetings and other business activities.
- Bridge communication between Japanese expatriate and local staff.
- Other related tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree (S1) in Japanese Language, Japanese Literature, Linguistics, or a related field.
- Having JLPT N1/N2
- Excellent verbal interpretation skills in Japanese ↔ Indonesian/English, and vice versa.
- Able to translate written documents such as emails, letters, reports, and business documents accurately.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills with a professional attitude.
- Detail-oriented, responsible, and able to maintain confidentiality.
- Able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Experience as a Japanese Interpreter in a Japanese company, consulting firm, manufacturing company, or banking/financial industry is an advantage.
- Willing to assist in meetings with Japanese clients and support daily business communication.
