IT System Engineer (Data Center)

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on IT Systems Engineer to join our IT team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting, maintaining, and improving the organization's IT infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security, and operational excellence across data centre and enterprise environments. This role requires strong technical knowledge across servers, virtualization, networking, operating systems, cybersecurity, and cloud technologies. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, troubleshooting complex issues, and driving infrastructure improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and support enterprise IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, virtualization platforms, and operating systems
• Administer Windows Server and Linux environments
• Support virtualization technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, or Nutanix
• Monitor system performance, capacity, availability, and security
• Perform system upgrades, patch management, and vulnerability remediation activities
• Support Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and identity management solutions
• Manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes
• Support network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless networks
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related incidents and service requests
• Work closely with cybersecurity teams to ensure compliance with security standards and policies

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline
• Minimum 5–8 years of experience in IT Infrastructure, System Administration, or IT Operations
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server administration
• Strong knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy
• Strong knowledge of VMware, Hyper-V, or other virtualization platforms
• Strong knowledge of enterprise storage and backup solutions
• Strong knowledge of network technologies (TCP/IP, VLANs, Routing, Switching)
• Experience with firewall technologies such as Palo Alto, Fortinet, or Cisco
• Experience with Microsoft 365 and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud)
• Experience with vulnerability management and cybersecurity best practices
