What you'll do

  • Deliver local onsite and remote IT support for AstraZeneca personnel.
  • Act as the first point of contact for incidents and service requests.
  • Manage and respond to Priority and Major Incidents impacting the site.
  • Provide 1st level technical assistance and consultation across user environments including desktops, laptops, and mobile devices.
  • Support installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware, software, and collaboration tools.
  • Perform device builds, deployments, backups, and technology refresh activities.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues using a structured and analytical approach.
  • Escalate unresolved issues in accordance with SLA requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of incidents, requests, and IT assets using ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow).
  • Provide hands-and-eyes support for global IT teams at the local site.
  • Support audio-visual systems, video conferencing tools, and collaboration platforms.
  • Perform physical onsite tasks such as cable patching and hardware replacement when required.
  • Ensure adherence to IT security, infrastructure, and operational standards.
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and deliver high-quality customer service.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous service improvement and operational efficiency.

Essential for the role

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience in an enterprise environment is preferred.
  • Technical knowledge and troubleshooting skills of OS (Microsoft Windows and iOS), Microsoft Office 365 and collaboration tools (e.g., Microsoft Teams, Box, Zoom, OneDrive), devices (Apple, Android), and general IT hardware
  • Basic network principles and troubleshooting
  • Experience with IT service management tools such as ServiceNow is an advantage.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a structured troubleshooting approach.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (both written and verbal).
  • Strong customer service mindset with the ability to engage and support users effectively.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

This role will be hired on a contract-basis under 3rd party vendor (extendable subject to performance review and business needs).
