Job Description

Job Scope:

  • Optimise IT support to improve financial performance, including reducing IT support costs, effectively managing tech inventory versus assets, and handling IT inventory.
  • Control IT costs by measuring IT budget variance and implementing cost avoidance strategies.
  • Manage cost efficiency, including calculating the cost of downtime and implementing strategies to minimise it.
  • Enhance internal business processes for IT Support Services, ensuring service quality and responsiveness.
  • Implement escalation management procedures to handle high-level IT issues efficiently.
  • Foster knowledge management and ensure accurate documentation; maintain consistent action to control and back up software and database systems.
  • Enhance service accuracy for domain management, applications, and other IT services.
  • Drive process improvement and automation, encouraging system and process improvements to increase efficiency.
  • Installed, configured, and monitored computer hardware, software, IT implementation systems, networks, printers, and scanners.
  • Maintained and troubleshooted computer systems and networks, providing technical support across the organisation.
  • Respond to IT issues by employing a ticketing system to track and resolve issues promptly.

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Proven experience as an IT Specialist or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of computer systems, networks, and databases.
  • Experience with installing, configuring, and maintaining IT hardware and software.
  • Ability to provide technical support and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with process improvement techniques and automation tools.
  • Ability to manage time and prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Certification in ITIL, CompTIA, or similar would be an advantage.
