IT Infrastructure Engineer

Flex intends to spin off its Cloud and Power Infrastructure segment into a new, independent publicly traded company, which we're calling SpinCo, until the name is unveiled. The spin is planned for Q1 2027. If the intended spin occurs, this role will support SpinCo, which will focus on critical digital infrastructure, delivering end-to-end power and thermal management solutions for AI data centers and other mission-critical applications.

About the role

The IT Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for supporting, maintaining and improving site IT infrastructure required for manufacturing and office operations.

The role provides technical support for network, server, endpoint and related infrastructure services while participating in infrastructure deployments, upgrades, cybersecurity activities and new manufacturing/customer projects.

Infrastructure Operations

• Provide technical support for site IT infrastructure and related services.
• Support LAN/WAN, wireless networks and associated network infrastructure.
• Support Windows servers, client systems and related infrastructure.
• Support PCs, engineering workstations and shop-floor IT endpoints.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure incidents affecting manufacturing and office operations.
• Monitor infrastructure availability, performance and operational health.
• Escalate complex incidents to regional or global infrastructure teams where required.

Project & Manufacturing Support

• Participate in the implementation of IT infrastructure for new manufacturing lines, customer programs and NPI activities.
• Support infrastructure installation, configuration, testing and deployment.
• Participate in network/server refresh, migration and technology lifecycle activities.
• Coordinate with corporate/regional teams on enterprise infrastructure deployments.
• Work with Engineering, Production and other business teams to identify infrastructure requirements.

Security, Availability & Continuity

• Support infrastructure hardening and cybersecurity initiatives.
• Implement infrastructure changes according to approved IT and security requirements.
• Support backup, recovery and business-continuity activities within the assigned infrastructure scope.
• Participate in incident investigations and root-cause analysis.
• Support remediation of infrastructure vulnerabilities and technical risks.

Vendor & Asset Management

• Coordinate technical activities involving IT vendors and service providers.
• Support infrastructure inventory and asset-management activities.
• Maintain accurate infrastructure configuration and technical documentation.

Continuous Improvement & Knowledge Transfer

• Identify opportunities to improve stability, supportability and efficiency of infrastructure services.
• Participate in IT operational automation and continuous-improvement initiatives.
• Develop technical documentation and troubleshooting procedures.
• Provide technical guidance and knowledge transfer to IT technicians and junior team members.

About you

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• Experience in IT infrastructure support
• Manufacturing environment experience is preferred
• Experience in electronics manufacturing is an added advantage
