You'll be working on:
- Lead the design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of enterprise applications and internal platforms.
- Design system architecture, APIs, databases, and technical solutions while balancing scalability, maintainability, security, and cost.
- Own the lifecycle of business-critical platforms, including reliability, monitoring, documentation, operational readiness, and continuous improvement.
- Establish and improve engineering standards, including code reviews, version control, automated testing, CI/CD, environment management, and modern SDLC practices.
- Troubleshoot production issues, conduct root cause analysis, and drive permanent solutions instead of temporary fixes.
- Provide day-to-day technical direction to permanent and contracted engineers and maintain accountability for the quality of delivered solutions.
- Manage engineering workload and delivery priorities, including business-request intake, prioritization, resource allocation, and balancing enhancement work with production support.
- Work closely with Product Managers and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into practical technical solutions.
- Improve the usability and interface quality of applications in collaboration with Product Management.
- Coach and develop engineers, including setting objectives, providing feedback, assigning work, and supporting performance and development conversations.
- Build technical documentation, architecture diagrams, API documentation, runbooks, and knowledge-transfer materials.
- Promote responsible use of AI-assisted development tools to improve engineering productivity and software quality
Qualifications:
- 6–8 years of experience in Fullstack Software Engineering, with experience leading or technically directing other engineers.
- Proven experience designing and building production-grade applications.
- Strong hands-on experience with PHP, Laravel, React, Next.js, and MySQL.
- Working familiarity with Node.js, Express, and Nginx in production environments.
- Strong understanding of software engineering principles, data structures, algorithms, API design, database design, and system architecture.
- Experience owning complex features or systems end-to-end and providing technical direction for work delivered by other engineers.
- Experience leading a team of 2+ engineers, including work allocation, delivery tracking, feedback, and performance/development discussions.
- Hands-on experience establishing or improving SDLC practices, including version control, automated testing, code review, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Demonstrated attention to user experience and interface quality.
