Job Description

The Contract Inventory (Agro) role is responsible for the inbound, outbound and inventory movement flow of raw material potatoes, monitoring stock levels, ensuring accurate and timely inventory records, optimizing storage efficiency and quality, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to maintain a smooth supply chain.

This role will be hired on a Contract Period of upto 12 months.

What you will be responsible for:

  • Oversee the inbound process, including receiving and inspecting raw material potatoes for quality and quantity compliance.
  • Maintain accurate and timely updates of inventory records and reconcile discrepancies through regular stock checks and audits.
  • Conduct SAP transactions, including PO, SO and GR process for any purchase, sales and inventory movements.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, procurement, and production teams to ensure timely and efficient material flow.
  • Optimize storage space and handling practices to minimize waste and maintain raw material integrity.
  • Track and plan inventory movement, including FIFO (First In, First Out) practices, to ensure product freshness.
  • Implement inventory control measures to reduce losses, spoilage, and inefficiencies.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards in storage and handling.
  • Work closely with Agro Fields, Customs and Planning, Cold Storage, Quality and Production teams, as well as third parties to plan and execute inbound and outbound shipments.
  • Generate and analyze inventory reports to support demand planning and procurement decisions.

What you will need to have:

  • A minimum of bachelor's or diploma degree in Agronomy, Logistics, or related field
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in inventory management, warehousing, or agro supply chain operations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail in documentation, monitoring, and compliance
  • Effective time management and ability to prioritize tasks under pressure
  • Clear and proactive communication to report any findings and critical information across departments and teams
  • Problem-solving mindset with adaptability to changing operational needs
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and process optimization
  • High level of integrity and accountability in handling inventory and compliance tasks
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of raw material handling, particularly agricultural products like potatoes.
  • Proficiency in inventory management systems (SAP, ERP, or similar software) will be an advantage
  • Understanding of food safety regulations and compliance requirements.
