Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Interior Designer / Drafter and Estimator role based in Gambir. The Interior Designer / Drafter and Estimator will be responsible for developing interior concepts for new outlets and renovations, preparing detailed layout and construction drawings, and ensuring designs meet brand guidelines and operational needs. The role includes creating 2D and 3D drawings, coordinating with project, operations, and procurement teams, and visiting sites to take measurements, review progress, and address design issues. The individual will prepare material specifications, obtain and compare quotations, and produce cost estimates and bills of quantities for interior works. Daily tasks also involve updating project documentation, maintaining drawing libraries, assisting with vendor coordination, and supporting design standardization across all outlets.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in interior design and drafting tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar CAD/3D software) and ability to produce clear technical drawings and layouts.
- Strong interior design skills, including space planning, material selection, and understanding of ergonomics and customer experience for F&B or retail environments.
- Experience in estimation and costing, including preparing bills of quantities, comparing vendor quotations, and managing budget constraints.
- Knowledge of construction methods, fit-out processes, and basic mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) considerations for interior projects.
- Effective project coordination skills, with the ability to collaborate with internal teams, contractors, and suppliers, and to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on quality and consistency in design output.
- Diploma or bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Willingness to work on-site in Gambir and to conduct site visits as needed; prior experience in restaurant, hospitality, or retail fit-out is an advantage.
