Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Instrument & Control Engineering Lead to oversee all instrumentation and control systems for ESSA's Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) project. This role ensures safe, reliability, and compliant design and executionfrom Pre-FEED through EPC, commissioning, and plant startupwhile coordinating across teams to meet project standards and timelines.

Location: ESM Head Office, Jakarta Selatan & Site Plant

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation & Control Systems or Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum 12 years experience in instrumentation engineering within oil & gas, petrochemical, or ammonia industries, including 5 years in a lead role.
  • Expertise in ICSS, F&G, DCS/PLC, and field instrumentation.
  • Strong understanding of API, ISA, IEC, SIL, and process safety systems.
  • Experience in FEED, EPC, FAT/SAT, and commissioning.
  • Skilled in TBE/MR preparation, vendor coordination, and change management.
  • Familiar with SMK3, ISO 14001, and CMMS (e.g., Maximo).
  • Certifications such as Functional Safety Engineer (TV/Exida) preferred.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead I&C engineering from design through commissioning.
  • Review and approve design basis, datasheets, I/O lists, and specifications.
  • Represent ESSA in HAZOP, SIL, FAT/SAT, and vendor meetings.
  • Manage EPC deliverables and integration with ICSS/F&G/DCS/PLC systems.
  • Support installation, calibration, and performance testing.
  • Contribute to digital twin, CMMS, and maintenance readiness.
  • Guide I&C engineers and ensure cross-discipline coordination.
  • Enforce compliance with SMK3, environmental, and safety standards.
