Instagram Content Specialist

Job Overview

Our client is seeking a creative Instagram Content Specialist to own the entire social media content pipeline for a thriving beauty business. In this role, you will create engaging educational and entertaining content that attracts new clients and builds trust with the existing community. You will have the creative freedom to produce Instagram reels, carousels, and stories that showcase the artistry and expertise behind lash and brow treatments while building a loyal following in the beauty space.

Client Overview

Our client is an established beauty salon on the Gold Coast specializing in eyelash extensions and eyebrow services. Operating for two years with a fully booked client base, they're expanding their digital presence to keep pace with demand and reach new clients in their local area.

Schedule

• Monday - Friday, 4 hours per day AEST (20 hours per week)

Responsibilities

• Create educational carousel posts covering before-care and after-care for eyelash and eyebrow treatments.
• Produce Instagram reels including day-in-the-life content and entertaining beauty-focused videos.
• Design educational carousels with 10-15 slides per post that inform and engage followers.
• Develop funny and relatable posts to attract new clients and increase engagement.
• Create location-specific content highlighting the Gold Coast and Chevron Island area.
• Edit videos for Instagram reels and stories using provided footage.
• Design graphics and visual content that maintains brand consistency.
• Deliver batched content by Sunday through Wednesday each week for scheduling.

Requirements

• Proven experience managing Instagram accounts for beauty, wellness, or lifestyle brands.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating Instagram reels, carousels, and story content.
• Proficiency in Canva for graphic design and content creation.
• Experience with CapCut or similar video editing software.
• Knowledge of beauty industry trends, particularly lash and brow services.
• Ability to create educational content that explains technical beauty treatments clearly.
• Strong understanding of Instagram algorithm and engagement strategies.

Qualifications

• Experience specifically with eyelash extension or eyebrow service content is a bonus.
• Familiarity with the Gold Coast beauty scene or Australian beauty market is preferred.
• Community management or engagement experience is a plus.
