Role Description

We are looking for an experienced IT Technical Lead to join our factory team in Majalengka, West Java. This is a hands-on technical leadership role for someone who can help strengthen and professionalise an existing factory IT environment covering business applications, web systems and cybersecurity.

We are expecting someone who understands how to operate and improve a real production IT environment and who is prepared to challenge weak technical practices or poorly defined system changes when necessary.

Candidates should have good practical knowledge of PHP or an equivalent language. They should have a strong understanding of modern application development frameworks, software architecture and structured development practices. ERP/business systems and Git/source control experiences would be highly valuable.

The position is based primarily at our Majalengka factory and is not a remote or Jakarta based role. Candidates currently based in Jakarta or elsewhere in West Java who are open to factory based work are welcome to apply. Periodic home travel to Jakarta or West Java can be arranged.

Initial interviews can be conducted by Microsoft Teams / Zoom. Shortlisted candidates may subsequently be invited to visit the Majalengka factory.

Key responsibilities

- Proficient in English and Bahasa Indonesia/Sundanese with strong written and spoken communication skills.

- Establish proper Development / Testing / UAT / Production environments

- Introduce and enforce source control, code review and deployment

- Review and improve existing web application platforms and frameworks

- Establish structured change request, testing, release and rollback procedures

- Improve technical documentation and reduce key-person dependency

- Strengthen sources control, backup and recovery practices

- Lead and mentor the local IT team

- Introduce proper project milestones, acceptance criteria and closure of completed work
