Industrial Designer
As an Industrial Designer, you will be responsible for the design and development of hardware products within Electrum's EV 2-Wheeler Ecosystem.
What You Will Do:
- Work on various product categories within Electrum's EV ecosystem, including vehicles, accessories, and infrastructureboth existing and new.
- Design Research: Conduct in-depth user research to understand market needs and product opportunities, developing product requirement documents that emphasize usability, ergonomics, and human-centered design.
- Color, Material, and Finish (CMF): Analyze CMF trends, create specification documents, conduct color-checking, and collaborate with suppliers to develop manufacturing references.
- Product Styling and Modeling: Develop styling strategies, and create high-level sketches, 3D CAD models, and technical drawings for patent filing.
- Cross-Division Coordination: Work closely with engineers, manufacturers, and external suppliers to ensure product development aligns with design requirements.
- Prototyping: Evaluate and approve prototypes, ensuring both form and function meet expectations while working closely with prototypes to iterate quickly.
- Visualization: Create high-quality visual presentations with photorealistic renderings to showcase product form and function for user manuals and marketing purposes.
What You Will Need:
- At least 3 years of experience in the automotive sector as a designer is a plus.
- A recent portfolio showcasing 2-wheeler or EV-related products, with at least one project demonstrating full development from concept to manufactured design.
- Proficiency in CAD software (Catia preferred) and visualization tools (Keyshot).
- Knowledge of automotive manufacturing and fabrication processes such as plastic injection molding, metal fabrication, and assembly is a plus.
- A Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, or Automotive Design.
