Indonesia is one of New Zealand's fastest-growing international student source markets. Immigration Advisers New Zealand Ltd (IANZ) is a licensed immigration advisory practice based in Auckland, and we are establishing dedicated in-market representation in Indonesia to build the student pipeline, institutional relationships, and community networks this market demands.
We are looking for the person who will own this mission on the ground.
Company Description: Immigration Advisers New Zealand Ltd provides reliable, personalised education and immigration advice to clients worldwide who wish to settle in New Zealand. With over 10,000 successful clients and a team of more than 35 experienced professionals, the company offers comprehensive support across a wide range of visa and education pathways. Services include Partnership and Residence Visas, Accredited Employer Work Visas, Special Directions, IPT Appeals, Education Advice, and complex immigration guidance. The organisation is driven by a mission to deliver a seamless, efficient experience while clients build their future in New Zealand. Its vision is to ensure that people from all backgrounds receive exceptional support, turning the process of settling in New Zealand into an exciting opportunity rather than a challenge.
Role Description You will be Immigration Advisers New Zealand Ltd dedicated representative for the Indonesian market. You are responsible for student lead generation, institutional and agent relationship management, and converting enquiries into engaged clients whose visa applications are handled by our offshore exempt from Licensing Team and Onshore Licensed Immigration Advisers.
This is a commercially accountable role. You own your market and are measured on the pipeline you build.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate and manage student enquiries across Indonesian provinces through direct outreach, education agent partnerships, social media, and events
- Build and maintain relationships with Indonesian high schools, universities, tutoring centres, education agents, and education expos
- Provide prospective students and families with accurate information on New Zealand study pathways, entry requirements, and living costs — all immigration advice is provided by IANZ's Licensed Immigration Advisers, to whom you refer all visa-specific queries
- Coordinate with IANZ's onshore Auckland team on client intake, document collection, and application progress
- Maintain the CRM with accurate, complete, and timely records — pipeline status, contact history, meeting notes, and conversion milestones
- Collaborate with IANZ's marketing team on Indonesia-targeted digital campaigns, social content, and lead generation initiatives
- Attend regular video calls with the onshore NZ team and other regional representatives — across time zones, on schedule, prepared to report
- Represent IANZ at Indonesian education fairs, school visits, and community events, including provincial travel where required
- Deliver regular market intelligence reports: student demand trends, competitor activity, agent landscape, and institutional developments
Requirements:
- Excellent written and spoken English is essential; your communications represent IANZ. Bahasa Indonesia as first language required; regional language proficiency (Javanese, Sundanese, or other) is advantageous.
- Bachelor's degree minimum in Education, Business Administration, International Relations, Communications, or a related field. Postgraduate qualification or professional certification in student counselling or education management is advantageous.
- Minimum 3 years in international education recruitment, student counselling, immigration agent support, or related business development. Demonstrable, quantified track record — enrolment numbers or pipeline conversion figures, not a description of activity. Prior experience with New Zealand, Australian, UK, or Canadian institutions strongly preferred. Working knowledge of the New Zealand student visa process is a material advantage. Existing networks within Indonesian schools, universities, or agent communities are a decisive advantage.
- Reliable high-speed broadband — mandatory. CRM proficiency (Zoho,HubSpot, Salesforce, or equivalent). Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive, Meet). Microsoft 365 (Teams, Outlook, SharePoint). Slack or equivalent async communication tool. Confident video conference presenter. Active across Instagram, TikTok, WhatsApp Business, and LinkedIn. Demonstrated ability to self-manage in a remote, distributed international team.
- Commercially driven and self-accountable. Meticulous CRM discipline. Culturally sensitive in representing a New Zealand firm across Indonesia's diverse regions. Ethically and legally clear on the boundary between information provision and immigration advice — you provide the former; you refer the latter, without exception. Proactive communicator who surfaces issues and intelligence without being asked.
