Responsibilities
Role Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Import-Export Specialist to join our dynamic logistics team on-site at our headquarters. In this full-time, career-focused role, you will manage and streamline our international trade operations, ensuring seamless supply chain flow and strict compliance with global trade laws. With 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing our shipping processes, coordinating with customs brokers, and mitigating compliance risks. Key Responsibilities: - Oversee daily import and export operations, ensuring timely delivery of goods and efficient supply chain management. - Manage customs clearance processes, preparing and auditing all necessary shipping documentation (commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, certificates of origin). - Ensure strict adherence to international trade regulations, customs laws, and tariff classifications (HS codes). - Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, carriers, and internal departments to resolve logistics bottlenecks. - Monitor and report on import-export compliance metrics, identifying areas for process improvement and cost reduction. - Maintain accurate records of all international transactions in compliance with regulatory standards. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, International Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- 3 to 5 years of proven experience as an Import-Export Specialist, Coordinator, or similar role.
- Strong expertise in Customs Clearance & Compliance, including HS code classification and import/export documentation.
- In-depth knowledge of International Trade Regulations, Incoterms, and global shipping procedures.
- Demonstrated experience in Supply Chain Management and coordinating with global freight forwarders.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work effectively in an on-site office environment.
- Proficiency in logistics software, ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Professional certification in customs brokerage or international trade is highly preferred.
