Role Description

The Import Export Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Surabaya. This position is responsible for coordinating end-to-end import and export activities, including preparing and reviewing shipping and customs documentation, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations, and monitoring the movement of goods from origin to destination. The specialist will liaise with suppliers, buyers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to confirm schedules, resolve shipment issues, and optimize transit times and costs. Day-to-day tasks include maintaining accurate transaction records, tracking orders, managing documentation for letters of credit and other trade finance instruments, and supporting internal reporting on shipment status and trade performance. The role also involves identifying process improvements in logistics and trade operations to support Earthen Trading's commitment to efficiency and quality.

Possess skills in Import, Export, and Import Export operations, including documentation and shipment coordination.
Possess skills in International Trade, with knowledge of trade regulations, Incoterms, and global logistics practices.
Possess skills in Customs Brokerage, including familiarity with clearance procedures, tariff classifications, and compliance requirements.
Have relevant experience in agro-commodities or related sectors, with an understanding of commodity trade flows and quality control, is beneficial.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and data management.
Effective communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-border partners and internal teams.
Proficiency in MS Office and basic trade/logistics software; experience with ERP or trade management systems is an advantage.
Bachelor's degree in International Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Fluency in English; proficiency in Indonesian and/or other regional languages is an asset.
