Company Description Bunda Mulia School (SPK) is a Cambridge school in Jakarta that offers Early Childhood, Primary, Middle, and High School education for both Indonesian and international students. Operated by Yayasan Pendidikan Bunda Mulia (YPBM), an education foundation established in 1985, BMS is part of a broader network that includes Universitas Bunda Mulia and Bunda Mulia School (SPK). The school provides an international curriculum tailored to the needs, interests, and cultural background of its students, emphasizing meaningful learning experiences connected to real-world contexts.

Role Description The IGCSE & AS/A Level Economics Teacher will design and deliver engaging Economics lessons that align with Cambridge curriculum standards for upper secondary and pre-university students. Daily responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, teaching classes, assessing student work, providing constructive feedback, and supporting students in exam preparation. The teacher will collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, participate in school events and professional meetings, and contribute to a positive, inclusive learning environment. This is a full-time, on-site role based at Bunda Mulia School (SPK) in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Qualifications

  • Strong subject-matter expertise in Economics, including Business Economics, with the ability to teach IGCSE and AS/A Level content effectively.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Teaching and Education practices, with experience in international or Cambridge curriculum environments preferred.
  • Skilled in Lesson Planning, classroom instruction, and assessment design that support diverse learning needs and abilities.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Economics, Education, or a related field; teaching certification or relevant pedagogical training is an advantage.
  • Excellent classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster a respectful and inclusive classroom culture.
  • Experience preparing students for external examinations (e.g., Cambridge IGCSE and AS/A Level) and supporting their academic progress.
  • Ability to integrate real-world economic issues, critical thinking, and problem-solving into lessons to promote meaningful learning.
  • Willingness to engage in ongoing professional development and collaborate within a multidisciplinary school community.
