Your day at NTT DATA

The Senior Associate Identity and Access Specialist is a developing subject matter expert, responsible for managing and maintaining company identity and access management (IAM) systems.

This role works towards contributing to strengthening cybersecurity measures and ensuring that authorized employees have appropriate access to information security systems while maintaining data security.

Key responsibilities:

  • Inputs into the design, implementation, and management of identity and access management processes and systems.
  • Inputs into the development of access policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure data security and compliance.
  • Enforces access policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure data security and compliance.
  • Manages the provisioning and de-provisioning of user accounts, ensuring timely and accurate access to IT systems based on roles and responsibilities.
  • May implement automated workflows for access requests, approvals, and revocations.
  • Performs periodic security assessments of identity and access management systems to identify vulnerabilities and areas for improvement.
  • Monitors user access patterns, permissions, and entitlements to detect and mitigate unauthorised or unusual activities.
  • Implements role-based access control (RBAC) and least privilege principles.
  • Implements and manages multi-factor authentication (MFA) and single sign-on (SSO) solutions to enhance user authentication processes.
  • Configures access controls based on user roles and data sensitivity.
  • Investigates incidents related to identity and access management, including investigating breaches and unauthorised access attempts.
  • Collaborates with vendors and service providers to implement and maintain identity and access management solutions.
  • Contributes to the evaluation of vendor products and services for compatibility and effectiveness.
  • Maintains thorough documentation of IAM processes, configurations, and changes.
  • Generates regular reports on access management activities, compliance status, and potential risks.
  • Performs any other related task as required.

To thrive in this role, you need to have:

  • Technical knowledge of IAM concepts, technologies, and protocols (LDAP, SAML, OAuth, etc.).
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell) for automation is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001) and regulatory requirements (GDPR, HIPAA).
  • Analytical skills with an ability to assess security scenarios.
  • Great communication skills to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Team-oriented attitude.
  • Ability to adapt to evolving IAM technologies, industry trends, and emerging threats.
  • Ability to use problem-solving techniques to define and resolve problems of moderate scope.

Academic qualifications and certifications:

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related
  • Profesional Certificate : Ping Identity or ForgeRock.
  • Direct experience in IAM deployment and SSO integration.

Required experience:

  • Developing experience in identity and access management, cybersecurity, or related roles.
  • Developing experience with IAM platforms such as Microsoft Identity Manager, SailPoint, or Okta.
  • Developing experience working within a global IT Services organization.
