JOB PURPOSE:
The Factory Controller is responsible for overseeing the financial management, cost control, and performance monitoring of the factory operations. This role ensures that production activities align with budgetary targets, supports decision-making with accurate financial insights, and drives efficiency improvements across the manufacturing process
The Mission Is To:
- Enable the business to achieve financial targets through accurate forecasting, cost control, and performance monitoring.
- Proactively identify opportunities to reduce material waste, optimize efficiency, and streamline overhead spending.
- Implement solutions that enhance financial performance, ensuring sustainable growth and competitiveness in the market.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Financial Planning & Analysis:
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for production, material waste management, and other production cost.
- Provide insights to leadership on cost drivers and financial risks.
Cost Optimization:
- Monitor production cost, variances and profitability metrics
- Identify opportunities to reduce material waste and improve resource utilization.
Performance Monitoring:
- Track KPIs related to supply chain financial performance.
- Ensure timely reporting and actionable insights for decision-making.
Business Partnering:
- Collaborate with Factory, Go-to-Market, and Procurement teams to optimize cost efficiency.
- Provide financial guidance to support strategic initiatives and projects.
Risk Management:
- Assess financial risks in factory operations to safeguard company assets.
- Recommend mitigation strategies to safeguard profitability.
Compliance & Governance:
- Ensure adherence to corporate financial policies and local regulations.
- Maintain strong internal controls across supply chain finance processes
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:
EXPERIENCES & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in finance or controlling, preferably in CPG environment.
- Strong background in cost accounting, budgeting, and financial analysis.
- Experience with ERP systems and manufacturing finance modules.
- Proven track record of supporting operational teams with financial guidance.
BUSINESS SKILLS:
- Advanced knowledge of financial planning, analysis, and reporting.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and cost structures.
- Proficiency in ERP and financial systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar).
- Ability to translate financial data into actionable business insights. Skilled in risk management and compliance
