Role Description The IB Mathematics HL/SL Teacher role is a part-time, hybrid position based in Jakarta, Indonesia, with a combination of in-person teaching and work-from-home responsibilities. The teacher will deliver high-quality IB Mathematics HL and SL lessons, provide individualized tutoring support, and prepare students for internal assessments and examinations. Day-to-day tasks include planning and conducting lessons aligned with IB curriculum standards, assessing student progress, offering constructive feedback, and adapting instructional strategies to diverse learning needs. The teacher will collaborate with Mentoro's educational team to ensure consistent academic mentoring, maintain clear communication with students and families, and use digital tools and learning platforms to enhance lesson delivery.
Qualifications
- Strong teaching and education skills, with demonstrated experience in IB Mathematics HL and/or SL.
- Lesson planning and curriculum alignment skills, including the ability to design structured, engaging, and level-appropriate learning experiences.
- Effective communication skills for working with students, families, and colleagues across diverse cultural and educational backgrounds.
- Training and mentoring abilities to guide students in study skills, exam strategies, and long-term academic development.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Mathematics, Education, or a related field; formal IB training or certification is highly advantageous.
- Proven classroom or tutoring experience in international school or IB environments in Southeast Asia or similar contexts.
- Comfort with digital tools, online teaching platforms, and AI-enhanced learning solutions.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid setup, manage schedules across in-person and remote sessions, and maintain professional reliability.
