Job Description

Job Summary

HVAC & Compressed Systems Technician is responsible for performing preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on HVAC and compressed air systems to ensure reliable, safe, and energy-efficient operations. This role plays a critical part in minimizing equipment downtime, supporting continuous production, and maintaining compliance with company standards, quality requirements, and environmental regulations.

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on HVAC systems, including air handling units (AHUs), cooling towers, ventilation systems, and split package air conditioners.
  • Operate, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair compressed air systems, including air compressors, air dryers, and related equipment.
  • Monitor system performance to ensure reliable operation, energy efficiency, and compliance with operational requirements.
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control system faults using appropriate testing instruments and perform effective corrective actions.
  • Conduct routine inspections and maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and equipment history.
  • Perform installation, commissioning, and modification of HVAC and compressed air equipment as required.
  • Ensure compressed air quality meets operational requirements by monitoring filtration, moisture removal, and system pressure.
  • Inspect refrigerant systems for leaks and perform refrigerant recovery, charging, and handling in accordance with applicable environmental regulations.
  • Coordinate with production and facility teams to minimize equipment downtime and support continuous operations.
  • Monitor equipment parameters such as temperature, pressure, airflow, vibration, and power consumption to identify abnormal conditions.
  • Support root cause analysis (RCA) for equipment failures and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Participate in emergency breakdown response and provide after-hours support when required.
  • Assist in continuous improvement initiatives focused on equipment reliability, energy efficiency, and maintenance optimization.
  • Collaborate with contractors and vendors during equipment installation, servicing, and major overhauls.
  • Maintain housekeeping standards in plant rooms, compressor rooms, and mechanical equipment areas.
  • Follow company policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements at all times.

Requirements

  • Min. Senior Highschool/ Vocational High School in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or HVAC & Refrigeration Engineering or related field
  • Minimum 3–5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Knowledge of industrial air compressors, air dryer systems, compressed air filtration systems, cooling towers, Air Handling Units (AHUs) and Fan Coil Units (FCUs), HVAC control systems, Ventilation and exhaust systems, and Refrigeration systems.
  • Proficient in Bahasa Indonesia, able to speak in english is a plus
