Job Description

About Rukita

Rukita is a property technology (proptech) company that provides long-stay rental housing solutions with end-to-end and hassle-free services in Indonesia. We are building a better way for people to live and experience urban living in Indonesia.

As we continue to grow and operate across a dynamic, operationally intensive business, our people organization plays an important role in helping the business scale, not only by building HR processes, but by making sure we have the right people, structure, leadership and performance to deliver the business.

About the Role

As an HR Business Partner, you will partner closely with business functions and leaders across Rukita. This role is expected to be both strategic and hands-on. The HRBP should not only advise leaders, but also take ownership to drive and follow through on important people initiatives.

1. Business & Leadership Partnership

  • Build strong working relationships with Leadership Team and function heads.
  • Understand business targets, priorities, challenges and operational realities, then translate business priorities into people priorities including Hiring priorities.
  • Provide practical recommendations to leaders rather than simply presenting HR policies or frameworks
  • Challenge leaders when a people decision may create organizational, performance or employee risks and support leaders in making difficult people decisions.
  • Ensure HR priorities are aligned with actual business priorities rather than running independently as HR programs.

2. Performance & Manager Effectiveness

  • Partner with managers throughout the performance management cycle.
  • Help managers establish clear performance expectations and accountability.
  • Support managers in handling underperformance and difficult performance conversations
  • Identify high performers, low performers and critical performance risks.
  • Partner with leaders on appropriate actions for high performers, solid performers and underperformers.

3. Organization & Workforce Effectiveness

  • Partner with leaders to review organization structure and manpower requirements.
  • Evaluate whether additional headcount is genuinely required based on business needs.
  • Review role clarity, responsibility, reporting lines and decision-making authority, identify organizational bottlenecks and duplicated responsibilities or unclear ownership.

4. Talent & Succession

  • Identify critical roles and key talent within assigned functions.
  • Identify retention risks for critical employees and support talent succession planning.
  • Support internal mobility and career opportunities where relevant.

5. Employee Relations & People Risk

  • Provide guidance on appropriate people actions and escalation, especially on complex employee relations cases.
  • Support managers in handling employee conflicts, grievances and disciplinary matters.
  • Ensure sensitive employee matters are handled with appropriate confidentiality.
  • Identify recurring employee relations issues and investigate their root causes.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for someone who combines business thinking, people judgment and strong execution.

You ideally have:

  • 10+ years of relevant HR experience, with meaningful experience as an senior level of HRBP, People Partner, HR Manager or similar business-facing HR role.
  • Experience partnering directly with business leaders, Heads, or C-level stakeholders.
  • Experience supporting multiple HR areas, particularly performance management, employee relations, hiring and talent management.
  • Strong understanding of recruitment and the ability to assess whether a hiring need and candidate profile fit to the business needs.
  • Experience handling managerial and critical hiring is a strong advantage.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills; comfortable using people data to identify issues and make recommendations.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, including the confidence to challenge senior leaders when needed.
  • Good judgment when handling sensitive employee and business matters.
  • Strong ownership and execution , you are comfortable getting into the details when necessary and following things through until completion.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-moving environment where priorities can change and not everything is perfectly structured.
