Job title: HSE Superintendent
Location: Pakistan
To lead, implement, monitor, and continuously improve the Occupational Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Management System within the country of operation, ensuring compliance with corporate standards, local legislation, and industry best practices.
Responsibilities
- Promote and drive a strong safety culture across all operations within the country.
- Develop workplace relationships that encourage individual accountability for HSE performance
- Act as the primary HSE leader and advisor within the country.
- Implement and maintain the Group HSE Management System at country level.
- Integrate HSE into daily operational and business processes
- Develop and implement the country-specific HSE Management Plan.
- Compliance & Legal Requirements
- Ensure compliance with local HSE legislation, regulations, and industry standards.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legal and regulatory changes.
- Ensure all company policies and procedures are effectively applied.
- Ensure effective hazard identification, risk assessment, and control measures are implemented.
- Maintain and review risk registers and mitigation plans.
- Support operations in managing high-risk activities safely.
- Conduct internal audits and inspections across all sites.
- Monitor and report HSE performance indicators (KPIs).
- Prepare monthly and annual reports and statistics
- Recommend and implement improvements based on audit findings.
- Identify HSE training needs within the country.
- Ensure employees receive relevant HSE training and competency development
- Support the development of supervisors and safety personnel.
- Ensure all incidents are reported, recorded, and investigated in line with company procedures.
- Lead investigations for serious or high-potential incidents.
- Ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented and tracked.
- Provide HSE advice and support to management and operational teams
- Liaise with: clients and contractors
- Promote clear and effective communication on HSE matters.

-Safety Coordinators
-HSE Trainers
Safety Responsibilities
- Ensure a safe working environment across all operations
- Implement and monitor HSE programs, procedures, and systems
- Identify hazards and manage risks effectively
- Lead incident investigations
- Demonstrate visible HSE leadership
- Implement and monitor the site's safety and health programs, policies and procedures to meet legislative and corporate requirements.
- Identify hazards and apply risk management processes to the work they are supervising.
- Coordinate resources.
- Develop teams and individuals.
Job Requirements
- Strong knowledge of HSE systems and implementation
- Familiarity with ISO 14001 / ISO 45001 standards
- Understanding of local regulatory frameworks
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to influence operational teams and drive positive HSE change Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail capabilities
- Degree / Diploma in Occupational Health, Safety, Environmental or related field
- Professional certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, ISO Lead Auditor) preferred
- First Aid certification
Experience Required
- Minimum 5–8 years HSE experience
- Experience in mining, drilling, construction, or similar industry
- Proven experience in site-based and country-level HSE management
