Job Description

As an HSE Manager - Shipyard, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Ensure the rigorous application of all established Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies, standards, and regulatory requirements across all fabrication facilities.
  • Lead the effective implementation and execution of the project-specific HSE Management Plan.
  • Plan, allocate resources, and oversee the deployment of qualified safety officers to provide adequate support and oversight for project execution activities.
  • Contribute to project bidding efforts by performing detailed gap analyses between project-specific and yard-level HSE management plans to identify key risks.
  • Drive and advocate proactive safety initiatives and behavioral programs to strengthen a resilient, improvement-driven HSE culture throughout the worksite.
  • Actively collaborate with the Production and Operations teams to ensure smooth and unified HSE integration.
  • Monitor and evaluate yard and project HSE performance metrics systematically, identifying leading indicators and implementing necessary improvements.

The Successful Applicant


A successful HSE Manager - Shipyard should have:

  • A degree or certification in occupational health, safety, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of HSE regulations within the transport & distribution industry.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working as an HSE Manager.
  • Experience working in a shipyard or engineering & manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • The ability to lead and influence teams effectively.
  • Strong communication skills to ensure clear and effective dissemination of safety information.
