Job Overview

The HR Specialist manages the end-to-end mobility process for foreign employees. You will ensure seamless international transitions by handling complex immigration, visa processing, and local compliance, while acting as the primary point of contact for expats adjusting to their new assignment location.

 

Office Location: North Cikarang, West Java, Indonesia 

 

Key Responsibilities

Immigration & Documentation

  • Work Permits & Visas: Prepare, submit, and track applications for work permits (e.g., in Indonesia, the IMTA and KITAS), visas, and stay permits through relevant government portals.
  • Document Management: Authenticate, translate, and notarize critical personal and corporate documents (degrees, certificates, marriage licenses).
  • Compliance: Ensure all foreign employees and the company strictly adhere to local immigration laws and labor regulations.
  • Renewals: Proactively track expiration dates and manage the timely extension or cancellation of visas and permits.

Expat Relocation & Onboarding

  • Relocation Support: Coordinate with Midea appointed relocation vendors to arrange temporary housing, household goods shipping, and other relocation related activity.
  • Orientation: Conduct comprehensive local onboarding, covering cultural adjustment, banking, transportation, and healthcare registration.

Payroll & Benefits Administration

  • Expat Payroll: Collect monthly payroll information and share with other SSC member who handles payroll.
  • Tax Equalization: Coordinate with other SSC member who handles Payroll & Tax.
  • Insurance: Assure all required expats personal documents are complete and submitted for other SSC member are able to register expats to the social security (BPJS).

Employee Relations & Reporting

  • Point of Contact: Serve as the main liaison between the expatriate, their host-country management, and the home-country HR team.
  • Labor Reporting: Prepare regular reports regarding foreign manpower utilization for government labor departments.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Law, or a related field.
  • Experience: 2–3 years of specific experience handling Indonesian immigration laws, or relevant host-country labor regulations.
  • Language: Proficiency in Mandarin and English as well as Bahasa Indonesia.
  • Soft Skills: High cultural sensitivity, excellent problem-solving abilities, and strong communication skills to manage diverse stakeholders.
