Job Description
HR & Facility Manager – Large-Scale Manufacturing
We're working on a senior HR opportunity with a well-established multinational manufacturing company in Indonesia, supporting a large-scale operation with 10,000+ employees.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being close to the business and having a real impact beyond the traditional HR function. The role works closely with site leadership and has a strong focus on people, industrial relations, stakeholder management and continuous improvement.
You'll lead a team of around 5 people, while working across a broad and diverse workforce. Given the scale of the operation, the role offers plenty of exposure to different stakeholders and situations, so someone who is naturally good at building relationships, communicating with people at different levels and bringing people together will do well here.
The role will involve:
- Leading HR and industrial relations across a workforce of 10,000+ employees
- Managing and developing a team of around 5
- Building strong and trusted relationships with employees, management and senior stakeholders
- Working closely with site leadership on people and business matters
- Managing employee and industrial relations matters in a constructive and practical way
- Identifying opportunities to improve HR processes, workforce effectiveness and the overall employee experience
- Bringing a proactive mindset to the business and looking beyond day-to-day HR administration
- Supporting a positive culture and strong engagement across a very large organisation
What they're looking for
The company is looking for someone who combines strong HR and industrial relations experience with maturity, strong interpersonal skills and a genuine passion for people.
You'll need to be comfortable working with different personalities and stakeholders, including situations where there may be different perspectives or interests. Someone who can stay calm, listen, build trust and find practical solutions will be particularly well suited.
At the same time, they want someone who is commercial and proactive — someone who doesn't just manage issues when they arise, but looks at how things can be improved and is willing to challenge the status quo when there is an opportunity to make the business better.
It's a role where your relationship-building, judgement and ability to influence can really make a difference, with strong exposure to the wider business and senior site leadership.
