Ronald McDonald House Charities Indonesia is seeking a Lead for House & Family Room Program. This individual will direct and manage the team of staff and volunteers in the daily operations of the House to ensure the wellbeing of the House guests.

This position will be based in Jakarta and works in conjunction with other staff to advance community awareness of the House and Family Rooms programs and services. The Lead resolves all Houses and Family Rooms matters as they arise and coordinates any necessary event response as needed.

Main Responsibilities

  • HOUSE MANAGEMENT

Developing and updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to house and family room management, along with their respective work checklists.

Supervising daily cleaning operations, managing staff, and ensuring that all facilities within the house and family room consistently meet comfort and hygiene standards.

Conducting daily monitoring and inspections, which include room inspections (checking newly cleaned rooms to ensure cleanliness, neatness, and completeness of amenities), public area inspections (ensuring the cleanliness of all communal areas such as the living room, kitchen, dining area, activity room, laundry, and restrooms), and handling special requirements (verifying additional service standards as needed, based on facility needs or security assessments).

Team management, which includes team scheduling (creating work rosters and assigning daily tasks to house and family room coordinators, as well as the cleaning and security staff on duty); training and evaluation (conducting daily briefings, training new employees, evaluating staff performance, and providing motivation); and final checks (reviewing staff control sheets and recording daily activities in the report logbook).

Managing logistics and facilities, which includes monitoring and managing inventory (cleaning equipment and chemical supplies), generating damage reports for room or public facility areas, and submitting repair requests.

Ensuring all existing facilities and infrastructure function properly and are well-maintained efficiently.

Managing contractor and vendor relationships, including housekeeping and security services.

Preparing and overseeing the annual budget for House & Family Room operations, ensuring efficient use of funds and available donations or resources.

Managing accounting for all House and Family Rooms operations including processing of donations, 3rd party payments and deposits.

  • HOUSE ACTIVITIES

Ensuring that the activities of this position are consistent with the Mission, Vision, and Core Values of the organization.

Creating and maintaining a comfortable environment that encourages family cooperation and a home-like atmosphere. Shows hospitality and respect to all families and guests and provides emotional and psychological support when needed.

Monitoring status and needs of families in the House, communicating any circumstances that could impact their stay, and attends to those needs whenever necessary.

Maintaining contact with volunteers, social workers and hospital staff to ensure support for families as needed.

Securing partnerships and maintaining relationships with other organizations that can support families in the House.

Ensuring proper maintenance and confidentiality of database information, family demographics and statistical information.

Compiling data and provides information for dashboard, grant requests, RADAR, annual impact report, audit process, and other requests.

Coordinating dissemination of surveys and provides recommendations based on feedback as needed.

Overseeing the planning and coordination of special events and activities around the House & Family Rooms such as parent activities and children's programs.

Establishing priorities for managing own work while staying on a focused, efficient path for achieving results.

Acting as organizational ambassador and presents a positive image of RMHC Indonesia.

Performing other duties as assigned.

Other Qualifications

Excellent written and oral communication skills and team oriented.

Strong computer proficiency, including familiarity with all MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams) products and database software.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Excellent skills in planning, time management, decision-making, and problem solving.

Ability to respect and show hospitality to guests from diverse socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds.

Must possess high ethical standards and the ability to operate in a fiscally responsible manner.

Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
