Job Description

Our client is a tropical beach boutique resort and restaurant on the most beautiful island of Nusa Lembongan, Indonesia.

The job of a hotel manager involves overseeing the guest experience, operations and maintenance of the villa.

The villa manager is expected to have strong attention to detail, ability to multi-task and ensuring the service is of an appropriate and consistent standard to all guests.


  • Indonesian citizen (max. 45 years old).
  • Fluent in written and verbal English communication.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working in high-end / well-established hotel brands.
  • Strong leadership skills and great attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proven track record in de-escalating any setbacks with the guests.
  • Degree in Hospitality Management or similar.
  • Candidates with experience in executing projects, renovation, and managing profiled volume F&B operations will be given preference.
  • Strong understanding of hotel operations and administration including budgeting.
  • Must perform well under pressure and be adaptable to changing work environments.
  • Must have strong leadership, communication, people development and decision-making skills.

Roles & Responsibilities

1. Guest Services

  • overseeing the check-in and check-out process
  • ensuring daily breakfast is served in line with the resort's standard operating procedures.
  • ensuring team members are operated based on the SOPs and executed to a high standard
  • responding to guest inquiries and dealing with any complaints.
  • monitor the F&B operations and other resort facilities
  • coordinate any requested activities and excursions
  • maintain the rooms in line with the standard operating procedure set by the owner
  • provide information about amenities, areas and venues and promote services
  • anticipate guest needs and build rapport with customers

2. Staff Management

  • Managing the staff of the properties which can include housekeepers, maintenance workers, chefs and other support staff.
  • Involve in hiring, training, scheduling and supervising the staffs.
  • Facilitate quarterly assessments of all staff and treat staff with respect and ensure a strong team culture.
  • Establishes and delivers effective programs and training that advance service standards, profitability and cost control.
  • Participates in the development of short-term and long-term financial and operational plans for the hotel which support the overall objectives of the Company results that meet or exceed the hotel business plan

3. Property Management

  • Ensuring the property is in excellent condition
  • Maintains product and service quality standards by conducting ongoing evaluations and investigating any issues
  • Ensuring that all repairs and maintenance are carried out on time
  • Overseeing landscaping and housekeeping, ensuring all equipment is functioning properly.
  • Ensuring a suitable list of vendors is retrained and managed to service the villa as required.
  • Ensuring suitable inventory levels for food, supplies, cleaning products, linen etc are maintained at all times.
  • Notify and agree any repairs with the owner that are required.
  • Manage the relationship with Banjar/ local authorities.

4. Budgeting & Financial Management

  • Manage property budget and finances, this includes creating a budget and managing expenses.
  • Ensuring petty cash is managed in a responsible and accurate manner
  • Reporting to owners on a weekly basis

5. Bookings / Reservations

  • Responsible for managing reservations once the booking is made and confirmed
  • Managing and reconciling the booking platform to ensure no errors with duplicated bookings or incorrect dates for guests.
