HSSE Supervisor
We are looking for an HSSE Supervisor to ensure that our operational activities are conducted in accordance with applicable Health, Safety, Security & Environment (HSSE) standards, regulations, and company requirements.
The role will be responsible for driving HSSE implementation across our service station operations, strengthening safety culture, managing operational risks, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and company standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor K3 (Occupational Health & Safety) programs across service station operations.
- Conduct Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, and Risk Control (HIRADC) and ensure appropriate mitigation measures are implemented.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities, equipment, and operational activities and follow up on identified findings.
- Investigate occupational accidents/incidents and prepare investigation reports and corrective action recommendations.
- Monitor the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and compliance with HSSE procedures.
- Develop and implement Emergency Response Plans (ERP) and coordinate emergency drills, including fire drills and spill response exercises.
- Ensure the readiness and availability of emergency response equipment such as fire extinguishers, hydrants, spill kits, and other relevant equipment.
- Ensure compliance with applicable government HSSE regulations and company standards.
- Conduct regular internal HSSE audits and prepare documentation for external audits, regulators, and principals.
- Monitor environmental management, including hazardous waste (B3) management, pollution prevention, fuel spills, tank leakage, and other environmental risks.
- Monitor the implementation of environmental improvement programs at service stations and Head Office.
- Ensure effective operational security, including monitoring of CCTV, access control, and asset security in coordination with Operations and third-party security providers.
- Handle and coordinate responses to security incidents such as theft, vandalism, and other potential threats.
- Provide HSSE training, safety briefings, and toolbox meetings to employees at both site and Head Office.
- Promote and strengthen a safety culture and HSSE awareness throughout the organization.
- Coordinate with Compliance, Legal, Operations, Engineering, and other functions on HSSE and operational risk matters.
- Liaise with relevant government authorities, consultants, HSSE vendors, and external stakeholders on HSSE-related matters.
- Follow up audit findings and ensure clear and effective corrective action plans are implemented.
- Support HSSE-related budgeting and cost efficiency initiatives.
- Lead and develop the HSSE team and promote cross-functional collaboration.
- Perform other assignments, special projects, and ad hoc responsibilities as required by Management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Industrial Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Risk Management, or other relevant disciplines.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in HSSE, occupational safety, or operational risk management.
- AK3 Umum (General OHS Expert) certification is required.
- Experience in HSSE audit, inspection, incident investigation, HIRADC, and emergency response.
- Good understanding of applicable HSSE regulations, particularly in the oil & gas / fuel retail / operational environment.
- Experience working with government regulators, consultants, vendors, or other external stakeholders is an advantage.
