The Role
As the Head of SCM, you will be the chief architect of our end-to-end supply chain ecosystem. Your mission is to synchronize Demand Forecasting, PPIC, Warehouse, and Logistics into a seamless, high-velocity machine. You will lead the transition from internal warehouse management to a high-performance BPO/3PL model, ensuring Zero Fraud and Zero Profit Loss while maintaining world-class Service Level Agreements (SLA).
Core Responsibilities:
1. Supply Chain Strategy & Development
- Demand-Driven Strategy: Develop and implement demand forecasting models to ensure cost efficiency and operational effectiveness across PPIC, Warehouse, and Logistics
- Strategic Partnership: Manage high-level relationships with production partners to align procurement with market demand
- Network Optimization: Develop strategies to accelerate distribution and expand our network, bringing products closer to customers
- Omnichannel Oversight: Ensure product distribution across all sales channels meets or exceeds established SLAs
2. Production Planning & Inventory Control (PPIC)
- Demand-Supply Alignment: Oversee PPIC in planning and controlling production schedules to meet market demand for finished goods
- Capacity Management: Collaborate with production partners to ensure adequate production capacity and minimize bottlenecks
- Dead Stock Mitigation: Control inventory levels to maintain minimum standards and aggressively prevent the accumulation of dead stock
3. Warehouse Operations & Stock Integrity
- Capacity Scaling: Develop and control warehouse capacity to align with business growth and operational needs
- Quality Assurance & SOP: Implement rigorous SOPs for receiving, storage, packaging, and dispatching to maintain product quality and smooth flow
- Inventory Control Systems: Develop robust systems to eliminate stock loss (shrinkage) or damage during storage and distribution
4. Distribution & 3PL Excellence
- Vendor Governance: Manage and optimize relationships with Third-Party Logistics (3PL) providers to ensure on-time delivery within budget
- Performance Monitoring: Audit 3PL performance regularly to ensure they meet the company's service and quality standards
- Lead Time Strategy: Drive efficiency in shipping costs and lead times through strategic shipping cost equalization and route optimization
5. Operational Efficiency & Financial Impact
- Inventory Velocity: Optimize inventory turnover by managing Days of Inventory (DoI) without compromising product availability
- Resource Optimization: Maximize the use of manpower, consumables, 3PL, and storage space to drive lean operations
- Profit Loss Prevention: Ensure a Zero Fraud environment through strict controls in the distribution and warehouse processes
6. Leadership & People Development
- Strategic Alignment: Provide clear direction to the team, ensuring all key metrics (KPIs) align with the company's vision and mission
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Foster a culture of collaboration across departments to support business execution
- Capability Building: Cultivate a high-performance culture focused on continuous development and consistent performance
Requirements:
- Experience: 10+ years in SCM, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role overseeing Warehouse, PPIC, and Logistics
- Expertise: Proven track record in managing 3PL/BPO transitions and optimizing DoI (Days of Inventory)
- Analytical Skills: Advanced ability in demand forecasting and supply chain cost modeling
- Integrity: Strong experience in implementing internal controls to prevent fraud and inventory leakage
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, or Business.
