The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for leading and optimizing supply chain operations, including procurement, inventory management, warehousing, and logistics. This role ensures seamless supply chain processes that align with regulatory requirements and support production efficiency while maintaining cost-effectiveness and quality standards.
Purchasing & Procurement
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to source high-quality raw materials and components for medical device manufacturing.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts, pricing, and terms.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and quality standards (e.g., ISO 13485, FDA, MDR) in supplier selection and procurement activities.
- Monitor supplier performance, manage risks, and resolve supply issues proactively.
- Collaborate with R&D, engineering, and production teams to source new materials and improve cost efficiency.
Warehouse & Inventory Management
- Oversee warehouse operations to ensure efficient storage, handling, and tracking of materials and finished goods.
- Implement inventory control strategies to optimize stock levels, reduce waste, and prevent shortages.
- Ensure proper documentation and compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Distribution Practices (GDP).
- Utilize ERP/MRP systems to track inventory levels, demand forecasting, and material planning.
Shipping & Logistics
- Manage inbound and outbound logistics, ensuring timely and cost-effective transportation of raw materials and finished products.
- Ensure compliance with local and international shipping regulations, including customs, import/export laws, and medical device transportation guidelines.
- Optimize distribution channels and collaborate with third-party logistics (3PL) providers.
- Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) related to delivery timelines, shipping costs, and order accuracy
