Job Description
Country Manager, Indonesia
South Tangerang · Full-time · Reports to: CEO · 8+ years experience
About Arrowster
Arrowster is the first AI-native fintech platform enabling global labor mobility. 350 million people will cross borders in the next decade, spending up to $5T per year on tuition, loans and housing. Our AI agents automate the 500 hours of manual paperwork behind visas, insurance and financial products.
Founders Kenneth (Oxford, Harvard Law, Point72) and Arif (Goldman, Bloomberg Engineering) lived this maze themselves. Backed by Niko Bonatsos (Verdict), Charlie Songhurst (Meta board), Vicki Cheung (OpenAI co-founder), Paul Forster (Indeed.com co-founder), Jorge Mazal (ex-Duolingo CPO) and Ophelia Cai (TinyVC).
The Role
You run Arrowster Indonesia. You own the P&L and the revenue number, build the local team, and report directly to the CEO.
You come from sales, and you come from education. This is not a role you can learn the market in. We need someone who already knows how Indonesian families decide where to send their children, what agents and schools expect from a partner, and how a study abroad or education financing deal actually closes.
B2C sales to students and parents is the core engine. B2B partnerships with schools, universities and agents is the second channel. You lead both.
What You'll Do
- Own the Indonesia P&L: revenue, margin, budget, headcount. Set monthly and quarterly targets and hit them
- Run the B2C sales engine: hire and coach the sales team, design the process from lead to enrolled student, run daily and weekly pipeline reviews
- Build the B2B channel: sign partnerships with schools, universities and agents, and turn them into leads and revenue
- Work with the GTM Lead on lead quality, conversion rates and cost per acquisition
- Hire and lead the Indonesia leadership team, set KPIs for each function
- Oversee operations and delivery so every enrolled student gets the service we sold
- Close high-value deals personally with students and parents when needed
- Present numbers, root causes and plans to the CEO weekly
Required
- 5+ years in education, study abroad, edtech or education financing, in a commercial role. This is non-negotiable, we will not consider applications without it
- 8+ years in sales overall, including 3+ years running a country, branch or business unit with a revenue target and budget
- Track record of hitting numbers in high-ticket, consultative B2C sales
- Existing network among schools, universities, agents or education partners in Indonesia
- Has managed managers and built a team from scratch, not only run an existing one
- Comfortable with data: P&L, funnel metrics, conversion analysis, forecasting
- Fluent Bahasa Indonesia and professional English
- Startup mindset: hands-on, moves fast, works without a big-company support structure
Nice to Have
- Experience at an early-stage consumer company
- Exposure to education financing, student loans or tuition payment products
- Experience across more than one market in Southeast Asia
What We Offer
- Competitive base + performance bonus tied to Indonesia revenue
- Direct line to the CEO and full ownership of the Indonesia business
- Build the Indonesia team from the ground up
- Fast-growing, multi-country team
