Job Description

As our Head of Retail Operations based in Jakarta, you will be the driving force behind Lazada Indonesia Retail excellence, ensuring our business operates with discipline, efficiency and impact.

Your mission is to elevate and strengthen our resilient Retail operations backbone that transforms

complexity into clarity, balancing profitability with agility to enable sustainable growth and deliver an outstanding customer experience.

In this role, you will lead cross-functional teams and initiatives across eight core pillars:

Retail Excellence & Governance | Sales Planning & Inventory Management | Supply Chain &

Procurement | Inventory & Risk Management | Online Store Operations & Content | Pricing Strategy & Operations | Local Capability & Cross-Functional Collaboration | Ad-Hoc Project Driver

You will shape end-to-end processes, safeguard profitability and drive operational resilience, while

ensuring seamless delivery across our Retail organization. Beyond local execution, you will collaborate with Regional counterparts to align frameworks, implement system enhancements and contribute to best practices that elevate Lazada's Retail performance across markets.

This is a highly strategic yet hands-on leadership position, offering the opportunity to scale capabilities, strengthen governance and deliver measurable impact across one of the fastest-growing online Retail organizations in Southeast Asia.

***Key Pillars of the Role

Retail Excellence & Governance

As Retail Platform Owner, you drive operational excellence, ensuring system optimization, compliance and profitability. You strengthen SOPs, audit readiness and P&L alignment while leading governance reviews and cross-functional coordination to embed transparency, efficiency and sustainable growth.

Sales Planning & Inventory Management

You lead accurate, insight-driven GMV and profitability forecasts aligned with commercial goals while balancing ambition with market realities. The team optimizes inventory to protect working capital, minimize stockouts and reduce expiry risks, ensuring strong planning, healthy inventory and scalable retail growth through close cross-functional collaboration.

Supply Chain & Procurement

Overseeing end-to-end procurement and supply chain flows, you ensure reliable stock availability,

efficient fulfillment and cost efficiency. By improving purchasing, logistics and reverse processes, you strengthen working capital, supplier partnerships and operational efficiency to deliver consistent and profitable outcomes.

Online Store Operations & Content

Responsibility extends to online store and content operations, ensuring SKU accuracy, on-brand visuals and smooth user experience. In partnership with Commercial and Design teams, content quality, process efficiency and IM Chat performance drive best-in-class retail experience and customer satisfaction.

Pricing Strategy & Operations

You own the local pricing strategy, balancing competitiveness with profitability. Through data-driven pricing reviews, automation and clean intelligence, your team ensures market relevance and operational discipline. You collaborate cross-functionally to sustain efficient, accurate and profitable pricing execution.

Local Capability & Cross-Functional Collaboration

You build local retail capabilities through best practice sharing, training and process standardization.

By identifying skill gaps and driving knowledge transfer, you elevate team performance and alignment across Finance, Logistics and Platform teams, fostering collaboration, clarity and execution excellence.

Ad-Hoc Project Driver

You lead or contribute to cross-functional projects that drive measurable value, whether by supporting Retail initiatives beyond your core responsibilities, enhancing user experience, building resilience, enabling innovation or identifying performance improvement opportunities.

You bring proven leadership experience with the ability to coach, develop and empower the managers under your responsibility across their day-to-day activities as well as their growth path in their career.

With strong analytical curiosity and a deep sense of ownership, you guide your teams members with clarity, foster accountability and translate data-driven insights into actionable initiatives.

***Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance or related fields

10+ years of experience in Retail, FMCG or e-commerce across operations or sales planning; multi- domain exposure strongly preferred

Leadership experience in managing small to medium-sized teams across diverse operations

functions, with a proven ability to grow and develop direct managers

Strong track record of delivering results in dynamic, fast-paced and ambiguous environments with sharp attention to detail and strong analytical capabilities

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to align and influence across all functions and levels

Skilled at translating complex data into clear visualizations and compelling stories, delivering

impactful presentations to leadership and enabling informed decision-making

Solid expertise in Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP), including demand forecasting and inventory management with the ability to translate data, seasonality, promotions and market insights into accurate, actionable sales plans

Ability to guide supplier management and procurement processes, ensuring effective performance oversight, timely issue handling and alignment with logistics and warehouse operations.

Capability to manage SOP reviews, training initiatives and reporting frameworks, supporting

consistent governance and scalable operations

Advanced proficiency in Excel, working knowledge of SQL is a plus

Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia is required
