Job Description

We are currently supporting a fast-growing consumer beauty company in hiring a senior retail marketing leader to drive offline commercial excellence and retail execution strategy across Indonesia.

This role is intended for a commercially-driven leader who understands how to translate brand direction into strong retail execution, impactful shopper experience, and sustainable offline business growth across multiple channels.

The position will play a critical role in strengthening retail presence, improving execution standards, and leading cross-functional retail operations in a fast-paced and highly dynamic business environment.

The role will work closely with leadership stakeholders and regional teams while overseeing several key retail execution functions across the business ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

Retail & Commercial Strategy

  • Develop and lead retail marketing strategies aligned with overall commercial and brand objectives
  • Translate brand priorities into impactful offline execution plans across General Trade (GT), Modern Trade (MT), and Independent Modern Trade (MTI)
  • Drive initiatives to strengthen retail visibility, shopper engagement, and in-store brand experience
  • Identify opportunities to improve channel productivity, retail effectiveness, and execution quality

Offline Execution & Retail Excellence

  • Lead nationwide retail campaigns, store activations, visual merchandising, and visibility programs
  • Ensure consistent execution standards and strong retail presence across all channels
  • Develop scalable retail execution frameworks, SOPs, and operational guidelines
  • Continuously monitor field execution quality and identify areas for improvement

Commercial Operations & Business Performance

  • Partner closely with commercial and cross-functional teams to support sell-out growth and retail performance
  • Analyze market trends, retail performance, campaign effectiveness, and shopper insights to support business decisions
  • Ensure strong alignment between retail initiatives, inventory readiness, operational execution, and business priorities
  • Support retail investment evaluation and optimization initiatives

Cross-Functional Leadership & Stakeholder Management

  • Lead and align multiple retail execution functions within the organization
  • Collaborate closely with Commercial, Supply Chain, Operations, and regional stakeholders to ensure strong execution alignment
  • Influence senior stakeholders and drive alignment within a matrix and fast-moving organization
  • Build strong execution culture, accountability, and operational excellence across teams

Process Improvement & Operational Excellence

  • Improve retail marketing workflows, operational visibility, and execution tracking systems
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase agility, efficiency, and execution effectiveness
  • Ensure strong governance, project management, timeline management, and execution quality across initiatives

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Management, or related field
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in Retail Marketing, Trade Marketing, Shopper Marketing, Commercial Marketing, or related function within beauty, FMCG, or consumer industry
  • Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written, are mandatory
  • Strong exposure managing offline channel operations across GT, MT, and MTI channels
  • Experience working within distributor-led or multi-distributor business model is highly preferred
  • Proven experience handling large-scale retail execution, visibility programs, and offline commercial initiatives
  • Strong leadership experience managing cross-functional teams and multiple stakeholders
  • Strong commercial acumen with ability to connect retail initiatives to business performance
  • Mature stakeholder management and communication capability
  • Experience collaborating with regional or global stakeholders is preferred
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-growth, and dynamic environment
