Job Description

We are seeking a highly connected and entrepreneurial Head of Project Logistics to set up and spearhead our Project Logistics department in Indonesia. In this senior executive role, you will be the driving force behind our Project Logistics footprint, acting as both the primary commercial rainmaker and the operational architect.

As we scale this specialized offering, we need an established industry expert who can leverage their extensive vendor network to deliver complex heavy-lift and out-of-gauge solutions from the ground up, with the vision to eventually expand their leadership scope across the broader Southeast Asia (SEA) cluster.

Key Accountabilities

  • Take full ownership of the P&L for Project Logistics within the Indonesian market.
  • Spearhead the commercial and operational strategy for Project Logistics (breakbulk, heavy lift, out-of-gauge), driving top-line and bottom-line growth and market penetration.
  • Leverage an extensive personal network of industry contacts, EPCs (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction), and heavy-lift carriers to secure high-value project cargo contracts according to the defined go-to-market strategy.
  • Architect end-to-end operational solutions for complex freight movements, identifying and onboarding reliable third-party vendors, specialized transporters, and technical partners to ensure flawless execution.
  • Direct the pricing, bidding, and tender management processes for large-scale industrial projects, ensuring competitive yet highly profitable margins (GP).
  • Steer the development of a robust Project Logistics framework, setting standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety compliance, and risk management protocols.
  • Act as the senior escalation point and project sponsor for major client accounts, personally overseeing critical cargo movements to guarantee customer satisfaction.
  • Partner with regional and global leadership to align the local Indonesian strategy with broader SEA and APAC commercial objectives, laying the strategic groundwork for future regional expansion and cluster management.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10-15+ years of extensive experience in Project Logistics, Heavy Lift, or Breakbulk forwarding, with a proven track record in a senior leadership or business head capacity.
  • Deeply established network of local and regional vendors, carriers, port authorities, and specialized transport operators within Indonesia.
  • Highly entrepreneurial hunter mindset, capable of operating autonomously and building a business vertical from the ground up where operational infrastructure is still evolving.
  • Advanced financial acumen with a demonstrated history of managing complex project P&Ls, budgets, and large-scale tender pricing.
  • Exceptional negotiation and stakeholder management skills, capable of influencing C-level executives and global engineering partners.
  • Business fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia is mandatory.
