We are looking for an experienced and strategic Head of Insurance to lead and scale our insurance business initiatives across product development, broker/distribution management and operational excellence. This role will be responsible for driving end-to-end insurance business growth, building strong partnerships, and leading 0-to-1 initiatives within a fast-paced and technology-driven environment.
The ideal candidate has strong experience in insurance product development, broker/channel management, insurance operations, and is comfortable working cross-functionally across teams in the organization as well as external stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Lead and execute 0-to-1 insurance projects from strategy to launch
- Curate and develop life and general insurance products aligned customer needs
- Create data-driven product recommendations
- Drive business growth across broker, partnership, and digital distribution channels
- Build and manage strong relationships with brokers, insurance partners, and key stakeholders
- Collaborate with Product, Customer Support, Operations, Marketing, and Technology teams to improve customer experience
- Oversee operational processes to ensure efficiency and scalability
- Monitor business KPIs and market trends to identify growth opportunities
- Optimize operational workflows, service standards, and partner engagement processes
- Ensure compliance with insurance regulations and internal governance policies
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Insurance, Finance, Business, Economics, or related field
- 7–10+ years of experience in bancassurance, insurance (underwriting and broking), or insurtech environments
- Proven experience in a leadership role managing teams and driving business growth
- Strong understanding of life insurance and/or general insurance products, and insurance operations
- Experience leading new business initiatives or building products/businesses from 0 to 1 is highly preferred
- Strong business acumen with experience managing KPIs and business performanceExcellent stakeholder management, negotiation, and partnership management skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a data-driven mindset
- Experience working cross-functionally with Product and Technology teams is highly preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic, and technology-driven environment
- Familiarity with broker/distribution channel management
- Experience managing insurance partnerships and strategic accounts
- Strong understanding of digital customer journeys and insurance technology solutions
