Region HR Head – Asia Pacific (APAC) | Jakarta, Indonesia
We are running a confidential search on behalf of a global leader in sustainable agriculture and crop protection solutions, present in more than 140 countries, for a Region HR Head to lead the people agenda across its Asia Pacific business (excluding India).
This is a senior HR leadership mandate for someone who wants to shape the people strategy of a high growth, multi market region during a genuine period of business transformation, rather than simply maintain an existing structure.
About the Role
Reporting to the global CHRO, with a matrix line into the Regional Business Leader for APAC, the Region HR Head will lead country HR business partners, plant HR teams and the wider regional HR function across commercial, manufacturing, R&D and enabling functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with APAC business leadership to translate regional priorities into workforce strategy, talent investments and capability plans
- Build strong leadership and succession pipelines across the region, working closely with global Talent and Learning Centres of Excellence
- Lead organisation design, workforce planning and operating model evolution to support scale and growth
- Provide HR leadership across manufacturing and operational sites, partnering with Operations and EHS on safety culture and workforce capability
- Drive performance culture, engagement and employee experience across culturally diverse APAC markets
- Ensure compliance with local labour laws, statutory requirements and data privacy regulations across multiple countries
- Lead the people dimension of regional transformation, M&A integration and change initiatives as the business scales
What We're Looking For
- 15+ years of progressive HR leadership experience in large multinational organisations
- Extensive experience working across Asia Pacific markets, including high growth and emerging economies
- Proven ability to lead HR across multiple countries with diverse labour and cultural frameworks
- Experience supporting manufacturing or operational environments is preferred
- Strong track record in organisation design, workforce planning and talent development
- Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and operate effectively in a matrixed, multi country structure
- Fluency in English required, additional Asian language capability is an advantage
