Head of HSE

• Work closely with the senior leadership and corporate leaders to cultivate a strong safety culture
• Develop internal policies and processes for occupational health & safety and environment
• Actively monitor and occupational health & safety and environment KPIs within Indonesia and develop early preventive measures
• Provide Health, Safety & Environment leadership & direction to all sites in Indonesia
• Serve as the corporate health & safety subject matter expert with clients, regulators, and staff working on projects or designing proposals
• Manage Health, Safety & Environment resources and departmental budgets
• Develop and implement corporate security and Health, Safety & Environment emergency response training and testing programs across Indonesia. Ensure that personnel are adequately trained and equipped in emergency response plan procedures
• Collect and manage information or process data to identify meaningful trends for risk identification and mitigation
• Manage incident reporting and ensures that safety emergencies and injuries are properly managed and follow up actions taken
• Oversee and manage the safety orientation and follow up safety training for all employees based on their job roles. Extend orientation and training to visitors and clients as and where needed
• Review subcontractor safety programs; ensure that sub-contractor programs are complaint with corporate and regulatory standards and requirements
• Conduct safety audits and ensure all deviations are reviewed and corrective actions taken and followed up
• Regular reporting to senior management on safety and conducts regular safety training and an effective production planning procedure; conduct daily scheduling meetings to ensure proper planning and adjust schedules for on-time delivery; provide accurate production and operation reports and document
• Ensure safe processes and work conditions through active leadership in Health, Safety and Environment (HSE)
• Drive a continuous improvement mind set throughout the department and organization to constantly advance safe process and efficiencies
• Assure meetings are held with supervisors and employees to review GMP and safety policies and to ensure that rules are being followed and enforced
• All other duties as required

Requirements:

• Must have bachelor's degree in science or engineering
• Must have health and safety certification in Indonesia and have solid knowledge of industrial health and Safety Acts and standards in Indonesia
• A minimum of 20 years safety related experience from chemical processing, oil & gas, or mining is preferred
• Leadership and management skills and previous supervisory experience
• Strong analytical skills, critical thinking and problem-solving skills; ability to influence and work in cross functional teams. Able to present and execute actionable findings.
• Excellent communication skills (oral and written) and interpersonal skills
• Project management experience is preferred
• Experience with ISO, safety quality systems, and PROPER is highly desired
• Willing to work from Mon - Fri and alternate Sat (half day), no roster system
