Job Description

Placement: West Jakarta, Indonesia

Status: Permanent.

Job Description:

Strategic HR Leadership & Execution (Indonesia Operations):

  • Lead and direct the overall Human Resources function in Indonesia, aligning HR strategies with the company's regional and global business objectives.
  • Oversee core HR pillars including Talent Acquisition, Compensation & Benefits (C&B), Performance Management, Training & Development, and Employee Relations.
  • Act as a strategic advisor to executive management regarding organizational restructuring, workforce planning, and labor cost optimization.

Regional HR Management & Cross-Border Oversight:

  • Remotely manage and supervise HR operations, compliance, and policies across several other Southeast Asian subsidiaries, including the Philippines.
  • Ensure operational consistency and alignment of HR policies between the Indonesian headquarters and regional entities.
  • Navigate and resolve multi-country labor regulations, compliance issues, and cross-border employee mobility challenges.

Team Leadership & Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Direct, mentor, and elevate the local HR team in Indonesia to drive high operational performance and service excellence (Note: excluding Chinese expatriate HRBPs).
  • Report directly and maintain close, transparent communication with Group HR VP Louis Wu, ensuring seamless alignment on strategic directives.
  • Partner closely with business leaders and department heads across Indonesia and regional hubs to identify manpower gaps and support business growth.

Talent Acquisition & Employer Branding:

  • Oversee end-to-end recruitment strategies for critical, mid-to-senior level roles to support rapid expansion and operational continuity.
  • Optimize local recruitment channels, employer branding initiatives, and talent pipeline management to reduce time-to-fill for critical vacancies.

Employee Relations, Compliance & Risk Management:

  • Ensure full compliance with Indonesian labor laws (Manpower regulations, PKWT/PKWTT, BPJS, etc.) as well as regulatory frameworks in managed regional countries.
  • Handle complex employee relations matters, mitigate employment-related risks, and foster a healthy, productive, and engaging corporate culture.

Requirement:

Professional Experience:

  • Minimum 10 of progressive Human Resources experience, with at least 3 to 5 years in a senior leadership role, managing a full-spectrum HR department.
  • Proven track record of handling end-to-end HR operations within large-scale multinational companies, high-growth technology firms, electronics, manufacturing, or telecommunications sectors.
  • Experience in Electronic 3C company will be a big plus!

Multi-Country / Regional HR Exposure:

  • hands-on experience managing or overseeing HR operations, compliance, and policies in at least one or more Southeast Asian countries alongside Indonesia (e.g., the Philippines, Vietnam, Thailand, etc.).
  • Deep understanding of cross-border HR management, multi-country labor laws, and remote team supervision across different cultural and regulatory environments.

Language Proficiency:

  • Mandarin Speaker is a MUST: Fluent in Mandarin (both written and spoken) to ensure seamless, direct reporting and daily alignment with Group HR VP.
  • Professional working proficiency in English and Bahasa Indonesia for local labor relations and regional stakeholder communication.

  • Talent Acquisition & Scaling: Expertise in building high-performing teams rapidly, structuring recruitment frameworks, and handling executive-level hiring in fast-paced markets.
  • Compensation & Benefits (C&B): Strong command of total rewards strategy, salary benchmarking, payroll structures, and performance-based incentive frameworks.
  • Employee Relations & Labor Compliance: Comprehensive knowledge of Indonesian labor regulations (Manpower Law, PKWT/PKWTT, outsourcing, industrial relations, and termination management) as well as compliance standards in target regional subsidiaries.
  • Organizational Development: Experience in change management, workforce planning, performance management systems, and building scalable HR infrastructures from 0-to-1 or during rapid expansion phases.
