Position Summary
The Head of Funding will be responsible for leading and managing the overall business performance of the BPR branch, with a primary focus on funding growth and customer acquisition, while also overseeing lending activities to ensure healthy portfolio quality. This role is expected to drive business expansion, maintain strong relationships with customers and communities, monitor team performance, and ensure business targets are achieved in line with company objectives and regulatory standards.
The role requires a strong banking background, proven leadership experience as a former Branch Head (Kepala Cabang), and the ability to balance aggressive funding strategies with prudent lending practices.
Key Responsibilities
Business & Revenue Growth
- Lead and manage branch business activities with focus allocation of approximately 80% funding and 20% lending.
- Develop and lead the company's end-to-end funding strategy (CASA, deposits, and overall third-party funds) aligned with business growth plans, financial objectives, risk framework & compliance.
- Identify new business opportunities and expand customer base through networking and relationship management.
- Monitor achievement of business targets and ensure sustainable growth for the company.
Funding Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with priority customers, business communities, and strategic partners.
- Drive initiatives to achieve efficient cost of funds while maintaining the relationship with customers. This includes marketing distribution strategy, customer acquisition strategy & retention programs.
- Ensure competitive and market-aligned funding strategies.
Lending Oversight
- Supervise lending activities and ensure healthy credit quality.
- Review loan proposals and provide recommendations aligned with company risk appetite.
- Monitor loan portfolio performance, including repayment and collection performance.
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, coach, and monitor branch/business team performance.
- Ensure team productivity, discipline, and service quality standards are maintained.
- Create a performance-driven and customer-oriented working environment.
Operational & Compliance Monitoring
- Ensure all business activities comply with internal policies, banking regulations, and OJK requirements.
- Coordinate with operational and support teams to maintain smooth branch operations.
- Prepare regular business performance reports and updates for management.
Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Business, Management, Finance, Banking, or related field.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in banking industry, preferably within BPR or commercial banking.
- Proven experience as Branch Head (Kepala Cabang / Kacab) or equivalent leadership role.
- Strong understanding of funding/business development and basic lending processes.
- Demonstrated track record in achieving funding targets and managing customer relationships.
- Strong leadership, negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
- Familiar with banking regulations and compliance requirements.
- Able to work target-oriented and manage business pressures effectively.
- Existing network/community connections will be an advantage.
