Adecco Indonesia is currently representing a Financial Services company looking for a Head of Fraud (Business & Data) to support the development of a robust anti-fraud framework within its digital business segment. This role will play a key part in establishing fraud prevention capabilities from the ground up, combining strategic thinking with strong hands-on technical and analytical capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of fraud analytics and anti-fraud initiatives across digital lending and MSME business operations.
- Build and establish fraud monitoring environments, detection frameworks, and operational processes from an early-stage setup.
- Partner closely with Product, Data, Risk, Engineering, and Business stakeholders to define fraud-related data requirements and strengthen fraud prevention capabilities.
- Identify suspicious activities, behavioral anomalies, and emerging fraud patterns through transactional and customer data analysis.
- Conduct investigations into high-risk users, transactions, and potential fraud cases to uncover new fraud typologies and control gaps.
- Design and implement fraud detection rules, alert mechanisms, fraud scoring methodologies, and preventive controls to enhance overall fraud management effectiveness.
- Develop and continuously refine Anti-Fraud Playbooks, policies, and end-to-end operational procedures to support scalable business growth.
- Support the implementation and enhancement of real-time fraud monitoring capabilities, behavioral analytics, and device intelligence initiatives.
- Act as a key advisor to senior stakeholders by providing actionable fraud insights, risk assessments, and recommendations.
- Support the creation of fraud governance frameworks while remaining hands-on in analytical and technical execution activities.
Key Requirements
- Minimum 8 years of experience in Fraud Analytics, Fraud Risk Management, Trust & Safety, or related functions within Banking, Fintech, Digital Lending, or Financial Services industries.
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Finance, Mathematics, or related disciplines.
- Strong understanding of fraud typologies including identity fraud, document manipulation, synthetic identities, account abuse, shell entities, and credit fraud.
- Proven experience analyzing transactional, behavioral, and risk-related data to identify fraud indicators and suspicious patterns.
- Hands-on mindset with the capability to build fraud-related environments, frameworks, and monitoring processes from scratch.
- Familiarity with fraud monitoring tools, data querying, visualization platforms, and analytical methodologies.
- Exposure to behavioral analytics, device intelligence, or real-time fraud monitoring systems will be an advantage.
- Experience contributing to fraud models, fraud scoring systems, or anti-fraud operational frameworks is preferred.
- Comfortable working in evolving environments with lean team structures and high collaboration across functions.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to work directly with senior business leaders and cross-functional teams.
- Candidates with strong technical and analytical capabilities are welcome, even if they are still developing leadership exposure.
- Prior experience in fast-growing fintech, digital banking, or lending environments will be an advantage.
