The Chief of Finance is responsible for overseeing the company's overall financial strategy, governance, and financial operations within a regulated fintech environment. This role ensures strong financial controls, regulatory compliance, sustainable profitability, and effective capital management for P2P Lending and/or PJP businesses.The position acts as a strategic partner to the CEO and Board, supporting business growth while ensuring financial discipline, transparency, and regulatory readiness.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute financial strategy aligned with business objectives and long-term growth plans.
- Act as a key advisor to CEO and senior management on financial planning, performance, and risk.
- Support strategic initiatives including new product launches, partnerships, and expansion.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling processes.
- Monitor financial performance, unit economics, profitability, and cost efficiency.
- Establish financial KPIs and provide regular reporting to management and Board.
- Oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, and month-end / year-end closing.
- Ensure timely and accurate financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
- Manage external audits and coordination with auditors
- Ensure all operational processes comply with OJK P2P Lending regulations.
- Maintain up-to-date SOPs, internal policies, and operational documentation.
- Support regulatory audits, inspections, and reporting from an operational standpoint.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum 8 years of experience in Finance, Accounting, or Financial Management.
- Having Mandarin professional speaking, writing, reading proficiency is a must
- At least 35 years in a senior leadership role (Head of Finance, Finance Director, CFO-1).
- Strong experience in Fintech, particularly P2P Lending and/or PJP environments.
- Solid understanding of OJK regulations (P2P Lending) and/or BI regulations (PJP).
- Experience handling regulatory financial reporting, audits, and compliance requirements.
- Familiar with escrow accounts, settlement flows, lender/borrower fund segregation (for P2P).
- Strong expertise in accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and financial analysis.
- Experience with audit management, tax compliance, and internal controls.
- Strong understanding of cash flow management and treasury operations.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related fields.
- Professional certifications (CPA, CA, CFA, or equivalent) are highly preferred.
- MBA or Master's degree is a plus.
