Job Description

Head of Finance Business Partner, Leadership Opportunity – Commercial FMCG

We're looking for a commercially-driven finance leader who understands how to translate financial insights into real business impact across multi-channel commercial operations.

This role is designed for someone who is highly strategic yet operationally grounded — someone who understands the complexity of FMCG commercial dynamics, distributor ecosystems, modern trade negotiations, and large-scale channel profitability management.

You will act as a key finance partner to commercial leadership teams, helping shape business direction through strong financial governance, business insights, and strategic decision support across General Trade (GT), Modern Trade (MT), and other commercial channels.

More than just reporting numbers, this role is expected to influence decisions, challenge business assumptions, and help drive sustainable, profitable growth across the business.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Business Partnering

• Act as strategic finance partner to commercial leadership team in driving business growth and profitability across channels

• Provide financial perspectives and recommendations to support commercial strategy, expansion initiatives, and business prioritization

• Translate financial and operational data into actionable business insights for decision-making

• Challenge business assumptions and provide balanced recommendations between growth ambition and financial sustainability

Commercial Performance & Profitability Management

• Drive end-to-end analysis on channel, area, customer, distributor, account, and product profitability

• Monitor commercial performance drivers including sales growth, pricing, trade investment, margin movement, and promotional effectiveness

• Identify business risks, profitability leakage, and optimization opportunities across GT, MT, and other commercial channels

• Evaluate financial impact of business initiatives, pricing changes, promotional activities, listing investment, and route-to-market strategies

Trade Investment & Commercial Governance

• Lead financial governance and effectiveness evaluation for trade spend, distributor incentives, commercial programs, and account investment

• Ensure commercial investment allocation is aligned with business priorities and expected return

• Partner with Sales leadership to optimize spending efficiency while maintaining strong market execution and channel competitiveness

• Strengthen financial visibility and control across commercial activities and field execution

Financial Planning & Decision Support

• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and commercial planning processes across channels

• Develop financial models, business scenarios, and sensitivity analysis to support strategic decisions

• Provide proactive insights and recommendations based on market trends, channel performance, and business dynamics

• Support long-term commercial planning and profitability improvement initiatives

Cross-Functional Leadership

• Collaborate closely with Sales, Offline Marketing, Supply Chain, Operations, and other key stakeholders to ensure business alignment

• Influence stakeholders through strong business acumen, communication, and data-driven recommendations

• Lead and develop finance team members with strong business partnering mindset

• Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and commercially-oriented finance support

Process Improvement & Transformation

• Drive process simplification, reporting enhancement, and finance transformation initiatives

• Improve visibility, accuracy, and quality of commercial financial reporting and analytics

• Support development of scalable financial frameworks to support business expansion and operational excellence

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field

• 7+ years of experience in Commercial Finance, Finance Business Partnering, FP&A, or Revenue Growth Management within FMCG / consumer goods industry

• Strong exposure in multi-channel commercial finance, including General Trade (GT), Modern Trade (MT), and/or key account business partnering

• Experience partnering directly with commercial/sales leadership teams

• Strong understanding of FMCG commercial dynamics, trade investment, distributor ecosystem, modern trade negotiation structure, and route-to-market strategies

• Proven ability to influence business decisions through financial analysis and strategic recommendations

• Strong analytical thinking, business acumen, and stakeholder management capability

• Experience leading teams and cross-functional collaboration in fast-paced environments

• Professionally able to communicate in English

• Comfortable working in a dynamic and high-growth business environment
