About The Role

AIA is seeking an experienced Head of Employee Benefits Client Relationship (All Channels and New Business for Broker channel)to lead the Employee Benefits Client Relationship function across all distribution channels and drive new business acquisition through strategic broker partnerships. The role is responsible for maximizing client retention, customer satisfaction, portfolio growth, broker engagement, and profitable business expansion while positioning AIA Indonesia as the preferred Employee Benefits provider in the Indonesian market.

The incumbent will oversee strategic client management for existing corporate accounts and develop strong partnerships with insurance brokers to generate sustainable business growth.

Roles & Responsibilities

1. Employee Benefits Client Relationship Management

  • Lead strategic relationship management for all Employee Benefits corporate clients across direct, broker, partnership distribution, and agency channels.
  • Develop and execute client retention and account growth strategies.
  • Build trusted advisor relationships with key stakeholders, including but not limited to: CFOs, CHROs, Compensation & Benefits Managers
  • Ensure high levels of client satisfaction and service excellence.
  • Act as executive sponsor for strategic and key accounts.
  • Conduct regular business reviews with clients to demonstrate value and identify growth opportunities.

2. New Business Acquisition Through Broker Channel

  • Develop and execute broker acquisition and growth strategies.
  • Drive new Employee Benefits business through Insurance Brokers and Strategic Intermediaries.
  • Build strong relationships with key broker principals and decision-makers.
  • Increase AIA's market share within broker-managed corporate accounts.
  • Lead negotiations for complex and large-scale opportunities.
  • Maintain a robust broker-generated sales pipeline.

3. Account Growth & Cross-Selling

  • Identify opportunities to expand customer relationships.
  • Promote integrated Employee Benefits solutions, including: Group Medical, Group Term Life, Group Personal Accident, Group Critical Illness, Wellness Solutions.
  • Increase wallet share within existing accounts.
  • Drive upselling and cross-selling initiatives.

4. Broker Relationship & Distribution Management

  • Establish AIA as a preferred insurer among major brokers.
  • Develop strategic account plans for top broker partners.
  • Conduct regular engagement sessions with broker leadership teams.
  • Improve broker advocacy and recommendation rates.

5. Renewal & Portfolio Management

  • Own the renewal strategy for key Employee Benefits accounts.
  • Collaborate with Underwriting, Claims and Operations teams to optimize portfolio profitability.
  • Drive retention while maintaining sustainable loss ratios.
  • Ensure effective management of high-value and strategic accounts.

6. Customer Experience & Service Excellence

  • Champion best-in-class customer experience.
  • Oversee service delivery and issue resolution for strategic clients.
  • Ensure achievement of Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Lead escalation management for critical client situations.
  • Partner with Operations and Claims teams to improve customer journeys.

7. Wellness Program & Client Engagement Leadership

  • Lead the development and execution of employee wellness strategies to enhance client engagement and reinforce AIA's value proposition.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Provider Network, Operations, and Corporate Solutions teams to deliver impactful wellness programs for corporate clients.
  • Design and implement wellness initiatives
  • Partner with brokers and consultants to organize joint client events and wellness campaigns.
  • Utilize wellness activities as a platform to strengthen client retention, increase employee participation and utilization, differentiate AIA from competitors, generate cross-selling opportunities and create new business leads.
  • Measure effectiveness of wellness initiatives through participation rates, engagement scores, client feedback, and business outcomes.
  • Serve as executive sponsor for key client wellness events and strategic customer engagement programs.

8. Market Intelligence & Business Strategy

  • Monitor Employee Benefits market developments and competitor activities.
  • Identify emerging workforce benefits trends.
  • Provide market insights to Product and Underwriting functions.
  • Support the development of differentiated value propositions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Master's degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred
  • 10-15 years of experience in Employee Benefits and Insurance Brokerage
  • Minimum 5 years leading corporate relationship or business development teams.
  • Proven track record in managing large corporate accounts and broker relationships.
  • Strong understanding of employee benefits, claims management, and corporate insurance solutions.
