Indosat's subsidiary is on a mission to develop the region's leading full-stack AI infrastructure platform. If you're passionate about building at scale, solving complex challenges, and shaping the next generation of AI capabilities, join us for the Head of Data Center Infrastructure.
Role Summary
Head of Infrastructure owns the physical facility infrastructure supporting our high-density GPU cloud sites — power, cooling, building systems, and space/capacity planning engineered for the extreme power and thermal demands of large-scale AI/GPU compute. This role is the primary counterpart to third-party data center/colocation providers on all facility-level matters, ensuring the physical environment can reliably sustain next-generation GPU cluster density.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead facility infrastructure strategy and operations across GPU data center sites, including power, cooling, capacity, and environmental systems.
- Manage data center providers and ensure compliance with power, cooling, and facility SLAs for high-density GPU environments.
- Oversee power and advanced liquid cooling infrastructure to support current and future GPU cluster deployments.
- Drive facility capacity planning, site expansions, energy efficiency (PUE), and operational readiness.
- Own MEP systems, fire & life safety, preventive maintenance, commissioning, and incident response processes.
- Build and lead the Infrastructure team while providing regular updates on facility health, risk, and capacity to senior leadership.
Requirements
- 8+ years in data center facilities engineering or critical infrastructure operations, with 3+ years in a leadership role.
- 2-3+ years of hands-on experience with high-density compute facilities (GPU/HPC clusters), including exposure to liquid cooling systems (direct-to-chip and/or rear-door heat exchangers) — traditional air-cooled DC background acceptable if paired with demonstrated ability to ramp on liquid cooling technology.
- Strong technical grounding in facility power systems — AC power distribution (utility feed, generators, switchgear, UPS, PDUs) and exposure to DC power architectures (battery systems, emerging rack-level DC distribution) — at scale, with redundancy design (N+1, 2N).
- Strong technical grounding in facility cooling systems (CRAC/CRAH, chillers, air handling) at scale.
- Experience managing colocation/DC provider relationships and enforcing facility SLAs.
- Track record commissioning or scaling facility infrastructure for hyperscale or AI/GPU cloud deployments.
- Comfortable operating at the interface of contracts, MEP engineering, and operations.
- Added Advantage Experience with next-generation high-density GPU rack architectures or equivalent hyperscale AI infrastructure deployments.
- APAC/Indonesia data center market experience, including local utility/regulatory context (PLN, environmental permits).
- Uptime Institute Tier III/IV facility background.
