About the Head of Compliance opportunity:
The Head of Compliance will lead the company's compliance and regulatory strategy, ensuring the business operates to the highest standards of integrity while supporting sustainable growth. A range of day-to-day responsibilities would include:
- Lead and oversee the company's overall compliance strategy, ensuring alignment with OJK, Bank Indonesia, and other applicable Indonesian regulatory frameworks
- Act as the principal liaison with regulators, particularly OJK, managing regulatory relationships, inspections, reporting obligations, and supervisory engagement
- Drive the development and enhancement of the compliance framework, including policies, procedures, controls, and governance standards tailored to a fintech business
- Lead and support regulatory examinations and inspections, including preparation for risk-based supervisory reviews, compliance inspections, and onsite examinations, with a strong understanding of how regulators assess and rank institutions based on risk
- Proactively monitor regulatory developments and translate changes into actionable guidance for senior management and business units
- Partner closely with product, operations, risk, and technology teams to embed compliance into new products and processes while enabling innovation and commercial agility
We are interested in speaking with senior compliance leaders with deep expertise in Indonesian financial regulation, ideally including experience gained within OJK or in close interaction with OJK supervisory teams, particularly around risk-based supervision
Skills and experience needed:
- 10+ years experience in compliance, regulatory supervision, or risk management within financial services
- Experience managing or responding to onsite inspections, compliance examinations, and offsite supervisory reviews
- Proven ability to operate in fast-paced, evolving businesses, balancing regulatory rigor with commercial pragmatism
- Fluency in both Bahasa Indonesia and English
