Head of Commercial Data Center
Job Description
- Conduct Data Center Site Selection and Feasibility Studies by assessing key factors such as power capacity and reliability (power grid/MW), fiber optic availability (carrier-neutral connectivity), disaster risks, and zoning regulations.
- Analyze the Data Center, Cloud Infrastructure, Colocation, and Hyperscale market landscape, including technology trends, pricing per kW/rack, and network availability.
- Develop commercial and financial models covering CapEx per MW, electricity and cooling OpEx, Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) targets, pricing models per rack/kW, and NPV/IRR analysis.
- Prepare and present Business Case Proposals to Management to support investment decisions for new Data Center modules or expansion phases.
- Develop and implement Go-to-Market strategies for Data Center facilities to support customer acquisition, revenue growth, and business expansion.
Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree (S1) in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Information Technology, Technology Business, or a related field.
- Minimum 4–8 years of experience in the Data Center, Telecom Infrastructure, Cloud Service Provider, or Technology Advisory industry.
- Strong understanding of Data Center fundamentals, including Tier Standards, power and cooling architecture, redundancy, MW capacity, and connectivity.
- Good understanding of Cloud Service Models, particularly LaaS and PaaS.
- Strong knowledge of financial analysis for technology infrastructure projects, including Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), Revenue per Rack/kW, CapEx/MW, IRR, NPV, and Payback Period.
- Strong market analysis and competitive benchmarking skills, with the ability to identify market trends and business opportunities.
